Occupy Wall Street?

Don’t protest Wall Street, protest the government that made the the rules and regulations they are required to live by.

Blame the government that rewards Wall Street, banks and other financial institutions for failure by guaranteeing investments with taxpayer backed securities.

Blame the government from regulating and taxing manufacturers until they leave the country because it is cheaper to do business elsewhere.

Blame the government that gives loans to these same manufacturing companies to “save the workers” and then give the money to unions while stiffing the investors.

Blame the government that has set in place policies that are killing jobs, like the ban on carbon light bulbs and banning drilling in the Gulf.

Blame the government that has shut-off our natural resources to the point that we are no longer self-sufficient while allowing foreign countries move in to extract these same resources.

Blame the government that has thrown in so much red tape that opening a coal power plant will cost investors more than any profits they might make and take more time than it’s worth.

Blame the government that does not consider gas and food prices when figuring inflation rates. Bacon was $3 a pound 2 years ago, now its $7 for 12 ounces and gas is a dollar a gallon higher than last year.

Blame the government that lost 2/3 of the equity in homes in the last 2 ½ years.

Blame the government that has spent more than $4 trillion tax dollars to “stimulate the economy” and wants another $500 billion.

Blame the government who are investing our tax dollars in companies that are risky at best like Solyndra.

Blame the government that produces nothing and in order to give it to others must first take the money from someone that earned it.
The problem is not Wall Street, the problem is government.

Jimmy Hoffa - Democratic Pawn

It’s amazing the stupidity of Jimmy Hoffa suggesting that the tea party folks are destroying American workers jobs, that they are somehow pawns led around by the Koch brothers and they are to blame for “right to work states” Huh?

The tea party started in February of 2009, all of the 22 Right-to-Work states were instituted prior to that date.

The tea party members did not invoke the free trade agreements that leave us with a lopsided trade deficit.

The tea party people did not start congressional over-spending

The tea party is not responsible for Café standards on automobiles

The tea party did not place restrictions on energy companies driving costs up nationally

The tea party did not threaten voters at the polls or partner with an organization that illegally registered Mickey Mouse and the entire Dallas football team to vote.

The Tea Party does however endorse reduced government spending, opposition to taxation in varying degrees, reduction of the national debt and federal budget deficit and adherence to an originalist interpretation of the United State Constitution

Maybe Jimmy Hoffa should take a look at these statistics before spouting off.

Here’s another little tidbit of info for Jimmy; leading the pack in Big Labor’s violence category is the Teamsters. Since 1991, they have had 454 incidents of violence and they have twice as much as the group in 2nd place.

The comments this past weekend by these “democratic operatives” shows the level of urgency that this party is experiencing. The Democrat’s cannot run on their record so they need to attack anybody and anything to distract from that record.

When a conservative group of ordinary America’s concerned on which way their country is heading are called “terrorists, racists and jihadists” then they should know that they are the right track, especially when the name-calling comes from the extreme left wing, such as Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and the number one race baiter in this country, Al Sharpton.

Tea Party Down-Grade

The democrats and some republicans are looking to put the blame on anyone but themselves for the downgrading of our countries AAA credit rating when the blame lies squarely on them.

The Tea Party from its inception has been harping that we need to cut the debt, cut spending and in turn, cut the size of the federal government.

Standard and Poor’s explanation for the down-grade was the result of the government’s failure to cut spending. They feel the cuts were not deep enough and no plan was shown to curb spending.
Standard and Poor’s even warned that if the debt wasn’t cut by $4 trillion, they would down-grade America’s credit rating.

Here’s another way to look at it so you can understand what this latest plan did:
A family making $58,000 spends $75,000 a year and has a credit card debt of $325,000. The new plan is that the family will now only spend $72,000 a year. Makes a big difference doesn’t it?

Here comes Obama, the democrats and a few RINO’s calling the credit rating drop as “the tea party down-grade” This is one messed up political machine we have running right now. How can anyone make the connection that the tea party is to blame for this? Governemnt officials did exactly the opposite of what the tea party wanted, which by the way was the same thing Standard & Poor's suggestions were to avoid this down-grade, yet here we have democrats proclaiming that it is the tea party's fault.

Why is he not attacking the tariffs imposed on our exports to China and Mexico? Mexico taxes our companies 17% to sell a product in their country and China charges us 19%, yet we charge them nothing to sell their goods here.

Obama, in today’s speech, tells us he can't find anywhere to cut spending. I have a few suggestions for him, starting with the Dept. of Education, The Federal Reserve and the repeal of ObamaCare just to get started and these will save us trillions almost immediately.

The republicans are always accused to catering to the rich while the democrats cater to the poor. The democrats what to keep the poor -- poor so that they will not have to pay taxes and in turn, will keep voting for democrats.

A Detroit News column from today (8/2/2011) annouced “Stop griping on the debt deal tea party, you won”

Who won?

Nobody won.

What happened was, we allowed the largest even debt ceiling increase in history ($2.4 trillion). The Republicans settled for "future cuts" 5 years down the road, which is business as usual from the DC elite.

I don’t want cuts down the road, this is business as usual for the DC elite, I want cuts NOW!... TODAY!

I want to see federal government workers walking out with a cardboard box and a pink slip.

Oil Can Harry is at this minute working on who to put on this debt reduction panel and who he can trick or bribe the republicans to put on it. RINO's like McCain, Lindsey and Collins that will vote FOR tax increases.

John Boenher for the second time this year had his ass handed to him and he still thinks he did well and so does a lot of the other republican congressmen who voted for this POS bill. The only people that stood strong against this was the tea party members in the house.

We've been screwed again while the GOP country club types and talking heads such as Bill Bennett are trying to sell this as a good compromise... compromise my ASS!

There is so much waste in this system and the only idea the democrats can come up with is to take more from us, raise our taxes and to hit up the rich for more.

It’s much easier than doing some actual work that will cut out programs that allow funds to go to a student to pay his tuition ($22,000) a year plus a stipend for food ($1,000) a month and ($450) a month for rent and after 3 years he can’t speak proper English, carries a D average and uses his rent money on illegal drugs to party with.

Studies have shown that there is somewhere in the neighborhood of $100 billion a year in Medcare fraud. Why are they not tracking this down?

We need people to do the work in DC to restore this country to what it once was, not to vacation, golf, travel, eat and drink on our dime.

I saw a quote from Warren Buffett. He said he could end the debt problem immediately. “Anytime the deficit reached 3% of GDP, all congressman and senators become ineligiable for re-election.

The Reality of a Balanced Budget Amendment

I find it extraordinarily moronic that we need to pass a constitutional amendment to get our government officials to work within a budget.

This is a no-brainer for each and every citizen of this country with a 5th grade education or higher but for some reason those with a law degree think they can work “outside the box” and somehow make it happen without one.

The economy is going down for the third time, yet lawmakers in DC see this as an opportunity to make the other side look bad either by raising taxes and spending or not raising taxes and spending. One thing is for sure; doing the same thing over again and again is insanity and there seems to be no shortage of this in the DC beltway.

It’s as simple as the nose on your face for all the rest of the country, but the politicians feel they need to look down upon us and explain that it’s “not that simple” that there are other things to take into consideration, such as who supports them with campaign funds for re-election or which bill they need to vote “for” in order get another politician to vote for a bill they favor.

The only people holding true to what they were elected to do are those birthed from the Tea Party, those who don’t care if they are re-elected, who won’t take a bribe, those that will not only have to explain to their family members but also to the citizens that helped them get elected once they return home.

Going against the tea party is a tough fight as Sen. Harry Reid found out in his re-election bid in 2010. Oil Can Harry had to raise millions to defeat the tea party favorite and Harry had to get contributions from outside his state as there wasn’t enough “local” support for him. Then he had to spend every dime of it to beat Sharon Angle. This so upset Oil Can that he can’t utter a sentence publicly without taking a swing at the tea party.

I write this blog to vent my frustration as I live in a state with two mindless Democratic senators who take months to answer emails; letters or phone calls if they answer at all.

We’re looking at taking one of them out in 2012, Debbie Stabenow, aka Debbie Stab-n-the-back. She is a useless tool, generally voting strictly along party lines, never doing the research to see what the effects her actions will befall our state.

When she does answer a letter (her aide) she gives her stance and why she favors it. She doesn’t care what her constituents favor, only what her party favors. She is not a representative of the people; she is a dictator to the people.

If congress cannot stop their spending ways, then we the people must put a shock collar on them, if they cannot work within a budget, which they have proven they cannot, then they no longer need to work for us.

Because of the way our political system is structured, we will apparently have to pass a balanced budget amendment or this economic disaster may happen again.

John Boehner has done all that he can in the recent months. He needs to step out of the way and let these mentally incompetent democrats do themselves in.

State of US Politics

I cannot believe the state of politics in this country. We, the people, sat by helplessly while Nancy Pelosi and Barrack Obama rammed bills into law by buying votes from congressmen and senators, some examples are the “Cornhusker Kickback” the “Louisiana Purchase” and even one of my senators Sen. Carl Levin got his hands dirty for the insurance companies here in Michigan. A quick Google search will bring these up in detail.

The people spoke loud and clear in the 2010 elections showing congress and the world that we were fed up with these kind of shenanigans and the out of control spending.

Now I sit back and watch as the republican house speaker, John Boehner is pulling the same crap that Pelosi did, twisting arms and making back door deals to get a bill passed that does not cut spending, does not lower the debt ceiling and does not address the growing problem of entitlements.

The republicans have put forth 3 budget proposals in the last year, while the democrats have not put forth a single one, even when they had full control of the house, senate and the White House. Obama put one forward but every single democrat and republican voted against it.

These people (congress) are stealing our money right in front of our eyes and the majority of the people are too stupid to realize it. They sit back watching reality shows, sports or playing video games believing that all is fine in their world so long as they can have these few distractions. The people of Greece thought the same way and now their world has come crashing down. The same has happened in Great Britain.

The governments of those countries have spent them into oblivion and they cannot pay it out anymore and the people are rioting in the streets. This will be coming to a street corner near in a city near you if you don’t wake up and I mean TODAY!

Raising the SS Retirement Age -- Why?

No matter how the politicians in DC try to spin the Social Security problem, it like most of the other economic problems in this country, originated with them.

SS will run out of funds with the current funding options. Medicare is out of money and the reason is politicians decided to use the money for “other projects” This was an easy move for them because they are not on the same system we are. They found that it wasn’t lucrative enough to satisfy their greedy needs in coverage and lifestyles.

Instead of reducing the amount DC spends on pet projects, foreign aid, military actions, unwarranted environmental concerns and funding departments that do nothing or serve no practical purpose, they decided to raise the retirement age that a lot of us worked most of our lives towards.

A lot of things are going on in DC right now because of the economic depression we have been in and there is no one else to blame for this other than the government for this happening.

We paid in trillions of dollars to fund these bureaucrats and they in return did nothing for us. When the Wall Street crew got greedy, instead of Barney Frank cracking the whip, he held his hand out and got it greased and then turned around and stated, “that all is fine at Fannie and Freddie” all the while knowing that Franklin Raines and his crew were cooking the books.

Not one of these people whose job it was to oversee these agencies were fired, jailed, or fined.

So, with this battling over the debt ceiling, cutting spending, reducing the budget, I would think that one of the top things on this list should be securing SS and Medicare benefits.

Putting them in an account that is off-limits to all politicians, that the funds can only be used for their intended purpose and to make sure the stay that way, all those in congress must use the same system as the general public, including years served against amounts paid in.

Lets make it a law punishable by long jail terms for anyone suggesting or trying to alter the funds to be used for other purposes

The Obama Budget Plan

Here’s the breakdown on taxing the rich, the Obama Plan.

72 million are what are called “Mega Rich” those that make $10 million a year or more or $720 million

About 315,000 make $1 million to $10 million a year or averaged at $1.5 trillion

Approximately; 4 million make $200,000 to $1 million a year or $400,000,000 a year at the most.

All of this money confiscated together would add up to less than $2 trillion, the deficit is $14 trillion and that all depends on how much we spend each year on our budget and Obama is getting dangerously close to that $4 trillion a year figure, we’ll never catch up

This equates to a family of 4 making $46,000 a year and spending $78,000 a year. How are they going to pay that credit card bill of $32,000?

Does Obama think that he can take all of the money from the rich and give it to the poor?
This was tried a few times in history, it was called communism and it failed everywhere it has been tried.

Why is he hell-bent on taking us there?

What this plan represents is that 5 million Americans pay for the other 330 million.

Does this sound fair?

Michigan Film Industry

If the only reason the film industry is willing to come to Michigan is tax payer dollars, then let them find another state to do business in. Michigan needs companies to invest in this state.

One of the best incentives to make that happen is to reduce the taxes charged to businesses and the other is to make sure government stays out of the way so that the business can grow.

Michigan legislators have destroyed the auto industry in this state by continuously adding additional taxes on these businesses and the federal government, not wanting to miss out on that money, did its part by adding mandates, standards and laws intended to “protect” the people from accidents caused by these vehicles. Don’t let them fool you into thinking they cared about the American people; they won’t write a bill unless there is money to be made somewhere.

Government greed has destroyed just about every business in this country. Look at oil, coal, and nuclear. They are literally millions of jobs sitting idle because apparently they cannot find a way to milk these businesses for any more money.

And look at what they did for Social Security. We had billions in reserves back during the Johnson administration when they decided they could count is as part of the budget and use the money for “investing” which we all know is the code word for spending. It is now on the brink of insolvency and we can thank the geniuses in DC that think they know better how to spend our money.

Government has grown too large and they are causing undue financial hardship on the American people not because of inactivity but because of inept, corrupt politicians in search of their slice of the pie, problem is their slice now consumes the slice of those that paid for the pie.

Wisconsin "Teachers" Strike

Back in the spring of 2009, Nancy Pelosi called the Tea Party movement nothing more than Astro-turf; nothing could have been further from the truth. One look at the signs and you could tell who the “Astro-turf” crowd was.

The Organizing for America (OFA) crowd, funded by George Soros and supported by the White House and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) is nothing more than an organizing for Obama organization.

This is a well orchestrated protest; the DNC and OFA are bussing in people from all over the country to the Wisconsin capital. Teachers have instructed their students to show up to protest and then when asked why they are there, they students reply “I don’t know, I guess we’re protesting today”

This scene is going to be repeated all across America as state governments struggle to keep their heads above water from rising tides of debt. Governor Scott Walker introduced a budget to protect teachers from being laid off, about 2,000 of them. Included in this budget is a plan for teachers to pay part (5%) of their health care costs and to contribute to their retirement fund.

Workers in the private sector have been paying a portion if not all of their health insurance costs and also to their retirement funds, the teachers don’t want any part of this. They want this governor’s to raise taxes so that the rest of us will continue to pay their part.

Obama, the DNC, Organizing for America and George Soros want this country in turmoil, the want the system (capitalism and free markets) to collapse so they can rebuild it the way they see fit and spread the wealth around and destroy capitalism. George Soros has already done this to several countries, that’s how he makes his money; betting that the currency will collapse and then investing his money towards that goal. He was convicted of insider trading in France and banned from investing in Great Brittan for this very reason.

On every level this man is trying his hardest to collapse the dollar, through his Tide’s Foundation, his Open Society Foundation, Organizing for America, MoveOn.org, the Council on Foreign Relations and the Center for American Progress and these are just a few on his list.

Teachers and public union workers need to recognize that the rest of us can no longer afford to pay for their lavish benefits just as was witnessed in the private sector when the UAW drove the auto companies into the dirt.
In 1945, 37% of the American workforce was unionized, the union bosses repeatedly told the workers they should vote the democratic ticket because they support the poor and they will save your jobs.

Today that number is less than 12%. Just look at Detroit, the Motor City capital of the world has been rusted away by democratic rule. John Dingell and John Conyers are the major contributors to this decline.

So when we go back to the polls next year, remember who is stopping the progress in this nation and who is hell-bent on destroying our way of life.

The hotel proprietor then places the $100 back on the counter so the
traveler will not suspect anything.

At that moment the traveler comes down the stairs, states that the rooms
are not satisfactory, picks up the $100 bill and leaves.

No one produced anything. No one earned anything. However, the whole
town is now out of debt and looks to the future with a lot more optimism.

George Soros has been banned from trading in Russia because he de-valued their currency by 20%. He broke the bank of England through his financial moves focused on breaking the “nation” and has turned his sights on the US.

He adopted Barack Obama and helped him break the Clinton political machine by announcing he was backing Obama and not Hillary. Soros’s oil company has been drilling off the coast of Brazil to which Obama granted $3 billion of US tax dollars to help Brazil “develop off-shore drilling”.

Back Door Jenny

Last night I attended a meeting where the keynote speaker was Matthew Schneider, the president of the Michigan chapter of the Federalist Society and a constitutional college professor. He gave a presentation on about whom the candidates in the upcoming November election are and how they stand constitutionally speaking and what their backgrounds are.

It was very informative.

He also made note of the difference between a “rule of law judge” and a “judge activist” An activist judge rules based on how they feel on a particular issue while a rule of law judge rules based on the law and nothing else.

Activist judges believe they can circumvent the legislature and “make” law based on their decisions. This is not an acceptable option. The basis of our laws were written by our fore fathers who took many years to make sure they got them right and to make sure they could not be mis-read.

All judges up in the 1960’s were constitutional non-partisan rule of law judges and then something began to change, this was about the same time the Democratic Party started it’s crawl towards a European style socialist government.

The part of his presentation I really got an eyeful was the back door deal our Governor Jennifer Granholm pulled off.

Elizabeth Weaver a republican turned moderate-turned liberal judge decided she was ready to retire (we can only assume, she has not let anyone know why). So in order to make sure the seat stayed filled with a judge activist; she made a deal with Back Door Jenny. Elizabeth would step down so long as Jenny would replace her with a “like-minded” judge such as Alton Davis, another judge from northern Michigan who liked to write laws based on his decisions.

Why you might ask does this guarantee the seat for an activist judge?

Seems that most people going to vote who are unaware of whom the judges are will vote for the incumbent 20% more often than not. This is pretty good odds knowing that they will get an additional 20% of the votes based solely on the fact that they are incumbents.
So by Back Door Jenny placing this man in the position just two days before the Democratic Convention and then having the democratic delegates seat him, he is an incumbent.

Ms. Granholm, John Conyers, John Dingell, Kwame Kilpatrick, Monica Conyers and the Democratic Party in general has certainly left their marks on this state in so many ways, from the ruins of Detroit to the million people who have left this state in search of work and the American Dream.

I wonder if Back Door Jenny is done or if she’s got one more up her ass to pull out before she’s gone.

War on Terror

"Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores in July 2002, and in New York on 11 Sept 2001, and have continually threatened to do so since?

Were people from all over the world, not brutally murdered that day in London, and in downtown Manhattan, and in a field in Pennsylvania?

Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they?

And I'm supposed to care that a few Taliban were claiming to be tortured by a justice system of the nation they come from and are fighting against in a brutal insurgency.

I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11 and 7/7.

I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere belief of which is a crime punishable by beheading in Afghanistan

I'll care when these thugs tell the world they are sorry for hacking off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.

I'll care when the cowardly so-called 'insurgents' in Afghanistan come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques and behind women and children.

I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of Nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide bombs.

I'll care when the British media stops pretending that their freedom of speech on stories is more important than the lives of the soldiers on the ground or their families waiting at home to hear about them when something happens.

When you wake up in the morning, everything you see around you; your room, your house, clothes, shoes, alarm clocks, TV’s, radio’s, your mirror, the sink, toothbrush, your morning coffee, just about everything you have was made possible by capitalism. Capitalism drives you to work or the store to buy goods again created by capitalism.

Michael Moore thinks capitalism is a bad word, yet if it weren’t for capitalism, we would not be making his films, nor could he profit from them. In an interview with Sean Hannity, he would not deluge what tax bracket he was in but he certainly lives a lavish life-style although he does not dress for the occasion.

Capitalism built the middle class in this country starting right here in this state known as Michigan. It is “big business” that the democrats try to persuade us is the problem with this country, that big business somehow has screwed the American people over by taking our jobs over-seas, by having things built in places like Taiwan, China, India and other places. It wasn’t big business that decided to go there, it was pressure put on them to compete.

Our government has helped destroy the auto manufacturing in this country, first by regulating it into submission and then by passing “unfair trade policies” One recent shiny example of our governments trade policy in action was when they tried to dry up the drug trade by convincing the people of Bolivia to quit growing Coca for cocaine and grow asparagus instead with the promise that we would buy it from them.

Seemed like a good plan to those Einstein’s in charge at the time, but now we are importing ten times more than we have a demand for. His has forced the Michigan growers to sell below costs to get rid of their crops, not to mention an unbalanced trade deficit.

There is a reason these kinds of people are in politics. Most of them couldn’t run water if we showed them the faucet; the rest are bad attorney’s that couldn’t find where to sign their names on a contract unless you drew and X it in front on them.

In Michigan, the politicians could not help themselves, they saw the money the auto companies generated and they needed to get their spot at the trough.
They started by propping up their position by making Michigan the third state in the union to have a full time state legislature, costing tax payers billions over the years but wasn’t a problem, we’ll just tax the auto-makers. The same policy was repeated over and over whenever the budget was running short because of over-spending; they would raise another tax on our manufacturing industry.

When the manufacturers saw this happening, they started to move some operations out of the state. The politicians noticed that they golden goose was laying less eggs than it used to. What to do? I know; let’s add a Michigan Business Tax (MBT) so we can collect more from those still doing business in the state.

It never occurred to them to cut some programs and reduce spending and time and time again the budget fell short.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. During the Granholm regime who continued to drive businesses out by not only adding another 22% surcharge on top of the MBT, but decided they should pick and chose who was going to be successful by offering massive tax incentives to bring businesses to Michigan, businesses such as Cabela’s. It didn’t matter that there was already a major sporting outlet (Jay’s Sporting Goods) already in the state employing over 2,000 people. What did Jay’s receive to stay in the state? Zero -- How much money did Jay’s ever borrow from the state in the terms of loans or tax credits? Zero -- What was the outcome of this move? – Competition to already weak business climate due to mass of people leaving this state looking for a future.

This process was repeated again and again giving money to meat packing companies, the movie industry and battery makers. These businesses will pick up and leave as soon as the money pit runs dry. As long as they are gaining credits and incentives, it serves their purpose but as soon as the MBT and the surcharge whack them upside the head, they’ll be gone.

Capitalism built this country. Are there bad eggs in the carton? Sure there are but what would the alternative be? The liberals won’t let us drill for the oil here so we can’t depend on that like the Middle East does. Europe has been dying a slow death but the speed has picked up and they are broke, trying to dump their public health program as is Canada. Greece is out of money from promising its work force unaffordable benefits and retirement packages. We have let our technology companies dwindle by supporting electronic manufacturers from China, Japan and Korea to build our products.

We need to bring conservative ideas back to this country. We need to bring manufacturing back and along with it the R&D that will change our future needs for energy and products; it will be the only way to recover.

Spending has led us to the brink and it must stop yesterday.
Political Correctness has seen its day and it’s time to bury that notion. We need people that really and truly care about this country to take the helm and bring us back, but the rest of us need to hold their feet to the fire to make sure they do the will of we, the people.

A man from Ann Arbor crawled up on top of the Washtenaw County building to protest high unemployment.

Bill Riney who made an unsuccessful run as a democratic legislator for the 54th District in Michigan decided he need to make a statement, so he crawled up onto the Country building and spent the night.

Reading over the story on www.AnnArbor.com what a lot of commenter’s on the post missed is that while the people know that unemployment is a huge problem, the mainstream media throws it off as a “bother” to them.

If the media hammered this home and the fact that the democrats in DC and Lansing are killing our economy, then people like Riney would not have to climb a building in protest.

Obama spent $800 billion of our tax dollars with the promise unemployment would not exceed 8%, that flopped and now he wants to spend another $200 billion for the same thing.

This crawl to socialism was also a flop. Since the 40’s, democrats and the leftists elite’s have been moving steadily towards this goal and now it’s coming up to bite them in the ass.

While other countries like Great Brittan and Canada are trying to get out of tax funded government entitlement programs such as health care, the elitists in this country are trying to move towards it.

Government cannot stimulate jobs by spending more of our tax dollars and crippling small business owners. The best thing the Obama administration can do right now is to get out of the way and do nothing. The private businesses will grow the economy if they are allowed to do so.

2010 Michigan Republican State Convention

Yesterday (August 28th) at the Michigan Republican State Convention and motion was made to enter a second nominee for Lieutenant Governor; Bill Cooper.
The night before, the tea parties of Michigan had it’s own meeting to discuss the candidates among themselves to see where the people of these groups were headed with their voting.

Several days before the convention, I had asked if everyone was “comfortable” with Rick Snyder’s pick for Lt. Governor, Brian Calley and if not, lets have people through out some names so we could see what was available.

The name Bill Cooper came up many times, so Don Jakel of the Independence Caucus said he would talk with Bill see what we could do.

Bill accepted our offer and gave a speech at our tea party meeting.

The following day at the convention, the motion was made, seconded and then it was to be put up to a vote. The Republican Party stated that we would do a show of hands vote, which we of course loudly rejected to, first off because there were over 3000 in attendance and we were in an arena-seating situation and then to top that off, all the delegates were scattered in among alternate delegates and guests so who could decipher which “hands” were legitimate voting delegates.
Next the republican’s leaders decided we would have them stand… like this would be better count.

As we waited for the Republican Party to decide on how to handle the situation, Bill Cooper took to podium and proceeded to back out of the nomination.

Now a few things came immediately to mind; what did the Republican Party offer him to back out? And then apparently, he was not the man we thought he was.

Now my question to Bill is, what the hell happened here? I believe we have the right to know.

I should also mention that from my vantage point in the arena, I felt he had a strong chance of winning this nomination.

Another little bit of information on this convention; we had to wait two hours in line outside before we cold be signed in. The republican committee blamed the Breslin Center management for the delays stating “it was OK for a basketball game or concert” but not for a political convention of party delegates.

The Republican Party stated over and over again how excited they were about the number of delegates we had, but from the way they kept ramming things through before we had a chance to react and the way the we were inconvenienced, I got the feeling they were much more happier when there were only a handful of delegates that they could control.

The Tea Party had brought in a record number of delegates and we had an agenda that we wanted to fulfill. We are fed up with the business as usual and the old boy network in our government. These was a learning experience for us and believe me, the next convention will be different.

Republicans v/s Democrats

It rewards those at the bottom by allowing them to squeak by on a meager existence by giving them a monthly check which amounts to the same pay they would make at a minimum wage job after taxes, food and shelter. The government takes care of the food portion for them by way of the bridge card (food stamp program) they get free health care at any emergency room, their heat and electricity are paid for by programs such as MPSC Assistance Program, People Care program and the State Emergency Relief just to name a few and rent is dirt cheap in the city.

All of these programs have one thing in common; they are paid for by our tax dollars.

These politicians have driven the life out of the city, they are constantly trying to bring it back with more of our tax dollars being spent on improvement projects, entitlement programs, jobs bills but none of these work. The only thing that will revive the city is free market capitalism.

If a young professional who works in the city wants to move downtown figuring they’ll be closer to work, there are many nice places to live along the riverfront. However, if that person wants to go buy groceries, shop for clothing, hardware and such, they have to leave the city. The crime in the inner city has driven all of these types of business out.

Neighborhood revitalization will only take place after the city has been scrubbed of crime both on the streets and in city hall.

Crooked politicians like Kwame Kilpatrick, Monica Conyers and Coleman Young have left a bad taste in the mouth of so many. Kwame’s mother Carolyn ‘Cheek’ Kilpatrick, John Conyers, Monica’s husband are among the many that perpetuate this situation.

The jobs in Detroit are becoming non-existent and one of the problems adding to this is illegal immigrants. Michigan is a border state and NumbersUSA.com has rated politicians in our state on how they stand on enforcing our borders to protect our economy, jobs and ultimately its citizens.

Looking over the list of grades given by NumbersUSA for politicians that support protecting our border, we find the bottom 6 US representatives from Michigan are all democrats and all but one represent the Detroit area the only exception is Dale Kildee who hails from Flint. Dale scored a solid D, Sander Levin scored a D-, the two John’s; Conyers and Dingell scored an F and Carolyn “Cheeks” Kilpatrick and Carl Levin scored an F-

People in suburbs are fed up with Detroit. When the people of the city re-elected Kwame even after knowing his crimes, the people in the burbs were greatly disappointed and many washed their hands of the city. A city council member was recorded on camera’s slamming his fist on a table at a council meeting demanding that because the city of “Detroit has an 88% minority rate; 88% of the casino employee’s then should be minorities”. The people in suburbs said “OK, we’ll stay of the casino’s then and see what kind of money they make with just minorities gambling in them” hence the casino’s are now looking at bankruptcy.

The city of Detroit supplies water to most of the suburbs but no one from the ‘burbs’ is allowed on the board that oversees it. I know first-hand how city services work. If you’ve got $50, you can get someone with a tool to turn the water back on if it was shut off for non-payment and it could be years before they find out and if at all. Trash pick-up works the same way; if you own a business, you are required to dump most of your refuse into a rented dumpster, but if you contact the city trash collectors as they go through your alleyway, they’ll take all the trash you have for a $20 bill.

Detroit is probably the most segregated city in the nation. Until the residents become aware of what is really happening in their city and top electing crooks, I’m afraid it will only get worse until Detroit eventually mowed down for farm land and then we’ll have to start all over again.

This is how the democrats support the poor, yet the people still vote for these blood-suckers.

Sen. John Kerry and his Yacht

Sen. John Kerry, who is one of the biggest supporters of tax increases, moved his yacht to Newport RI to avoid a six figure payment in taxes. Apparently higher taxes are good enough for us, but not for him. This is the hypocrisy of the Democratic Party. “It’s a good thing to spread the wealth so long as it’s not mine”

Kerry should move to were the taxes are the highest. He should fill out the short form when doing his income taxes to make sure he pays the most possible taxes because that is what is good for the America.

This would the patriotic thing to do according to the Obama administration.
Kerry chose to park his yacht in RI rather than MA where he lives because MA would have charged him $437,500 in sales taxes on his $7 million boat and an annual fee of $70,000

So because of higher taxes enacted in Massachusetts in 1993 on these luxury items, we see how higher taxes harm small businesses and reduces jobs.
Kerry stated in February of 2009: “If you put a tax cut in the hands of a business or family, there’s no guarantee that they’re going to invest that or invest it in America”

Pretty good statement from a guy that spent $7 million on a yacht made in New Zealand and then had it delivered through an out-of-state distributor to avoid taxes.

And who can forget Rwanda, which collapsed into butchery. Could it not be said that the majority of Rwandans were 'peace loving'?

History lessons are often incredibly simple and blunt, yet for all our powers of reason, we often miss the most basic and uncomplicated of points:
Peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by their silence.
Peace-loving Muslims will become our enemy if they don't speak up, because like those in Germany, they will awaken one day and find that the fanatics own them, and the end of their world will have begun.

There are no moderate Muslims! Have you ever heard anyone refer to other religions this way? Moderate Catholics or Moderate Baptists. Where did the jobs go?

Obama is blaming the republicans for blocking passage of yet another unemployment extension. The unemployed don’t want hand-outs they want jobs. We’ve spent $1 trillion on jobs stimulus, with the promise that unemployment would not exceed 8% yet here we are at 10%.

The ruling class (democrats) the very people that are now asking where the jobs are, can’t figure out where the jobs went to.
They can’t find them because they are the ones that destroyed them with their tax plans and the destruction of the private sector businesses such as the auto industry, oil industry and the health care industry.

Obama won’t allow the oil companies to drill, he won’t allow loggers to cut and he won’t allow new power plants to be built. These all equal = jobs lost.

He spent all this money on stimulus and yet they are not creating jobs. He did create 300 jobs here in Michigan producing batteries for electric cars and it only cost us $502,000 per job to create! I think he should have given the half million to these 300 people and had then open a business with the money so they could hire a few people.

We’re at 99 weeks of unemployment extensions. The average time for the economy to rebound is generally 8 months if we do nothing. Obama’s policies are not “stimulating” the economy they are doing just the opposite. The democrats have been in power since 2006 and have been forcing their tax and spend policies since then and this is the result.

One republican senator said it best when he stated “why don’t we just put everyone on the payroll and call it a day”

Race and Blame

When all else fails the Obama administration knows two things; pull the race card and start the blame game. When anyone starts to question the administrations failed policies they quickly change ponies and start blaming George Bush and BP oil. Currently they are releasing their attack dogs, the New Black Panther Party (NBPP) and the NAACP on the tea party groups.

The lame stream media is right there on Obama’s lap, trying to sell the lies that a few in the tea party members uttered racial remarks to a few democratic black congressmen as they walked from one building to another. This event was filmed by no less than 5 video cameras and not one of them caught the alleged off-color remark. Andrew Breitbart offered a $100,000 reward to anyone that could provide proof that it happened -- no one has come forward.

This same media cannot bring itself to run the videos of the NBPP leader “Minister King Samir Shabazz” (aka Maurice Heath) claiming “I hate white people -- you want freedom? You're gonna have to kill some crackers! You're gonna have to kill some of their babies!"
These are the same people that aggressively and successfully lobbied the White House to drop charges against the NBPP members that were accused of voter intimidation in the 2008 elections.

The White House has taken to task to use our money to file a lawsuit against a law that 70% of American’s support. That of course is the Arizona Illegal Immigration Law. The law itself mirrors federal law but there’s a problem – the Fed’s won’t enforce the law so Arizona had to fend for itself and now they have to fight the federal government in court so that they can protect the citizens of their state.

If this makes your head spin; you’ll love this next part. The White has stated that it will not seek to reprimand or prosecute the so named “sanctuary cities”. These are cities that receive federal dollars (our tax dollars) to enforce immigration laws but decided not to and to use the money for other projects.

So to put this in perspective; the Obama administration will sue you for trying to do the job they are supposed to do, namely protecting it’s citizens and our borders, but will not bother you if you break the law when it comes to immigration. If you mess with the law, it’s OK, but if you interfere with Obama’s vision, you’re in their crosshairs.

A) lobbied the Obama White House to dismiss voter intimidation charges against the thugs of the New Black Panther Party
B) oppose the 21st century school choice movement to free poor minority students from rotten government schools

D) are pushing our country back to the pre-civil rights era using race-based classification
E) can explain the racist sneers and smears like those leveled by the St. Louis NAACP chapter against black limited-government activist Kenneth Gladney, who was labeled by civil rights leaders as an "Uncle Tom" after he was beaten bloody by Service Employees International Union henchmen last summer

Then and only then will their claim of “racists” among the tea partiers seem like a valid claim, problem is there has been no proof of any of the claims brought forward.

Every group has a few loose cannons and I’m sure there are a few in some tea parties. I personally have not seen one. I witnessed a sign at a town hall meeting showing Obama as Hitler with the little mustache, but it was being carried by a young black man.

Obama says we need to talk about racism in this country. This was Pat Buchanan’s response:

“Barack says we need to have a conversation about race in America... Fair enough. But this time, it has to be a two-way conversation... White America needs to be heard from, not just lectured to... This time, the Silent Majority needs to have its convictions, grievances and demands heard. And among them are these:

First, America has been the best country on earth for black folks. Governments, businesses and colleges have engaged in discrimination against white folks -- with affirmative action, contract set-asides and quotas -- to advance black applicants over white applicants. Where is the gratitude??

Barack talks about new 'ladders of opportunity' for blacks. Let him go to Altoona and Johnstown, and ask the white kids in Catholic schools how many were visited lately by Ivy League recruiters handing out scholarships for 'deserving' white kids…

Is white America really responsible for the fact that the crime and incarceration rates for African-Americans are seven times those of white America? Is it really white America's fault that illegitimacy in the African-American community has hit 70 percent and the black dropout rate from high schools in some cities has reached 50 percent?

Is that the fault of white America or, first and foremost, a failure of the black community itself

As for racism, its ugliest manifestation is in interracial crime, and especially interracial crimes of violence. Is Barack Obama aware that while white criminals choose black victims 3 percent of the time, black criminals choose white victims 45 percent of the time?

Is Barack aware that black-on-white rapes are 100 times more common than the reverse, that black-on-white robberies were 139 times as common in the first three years of this decade as the reverse?

We have all heard ad nauseam from the Rev. Al Sharpton about Tawana Brawley, the Duke rape case and Jena which all turned out to be hoaxes. But about the epidemic of black assaults on whites that are real, we hear nothing.

Entitlements

Enough of the nanny state crap and these entitlement programs that the democrats have pushed into our society. They have effectively removed the father from the home and replaced him with a welfare check. Jimmy Carters entitlement programs have destroyed major cities such as Detroit with his policies. Once the family is gone so are all the moralities that went along with it.

Does anyone think we are better off now than we were back in the 50’s and 60’s when you could trust your neighbor and leave your doors unlocked and children were respectful of their elders calling them Sir and Ma’am?

The democrats have taken the paddle out of the parents and teachers hands and made the father a passing figure by entitling single mother’s to a paycheck. Some of these women have made a career out of this lifestyle; if they want a raise, they have another baby. They toss “daddy” to the curb because they no longer need his support but the ones that suffer initially are the children. In the long run we as a society also suffer the consequences of these policies.

Amnesty for illegal aliens will only perpetuate this situation. The democrats are telling us that “people cannot be “illegal’s” that by using such a term we are degrading them. Calling people that illegally enter this country is exactly what they are illegal’s. So by the democrats thought process; are aborted babies then not human?

Obama and his clan of misguided, misinformed and inexperienced followers are spending time, energy and our tax dollars on fighting laws like the one Arizona passed… instead of seeing what happens when this law is enacted, they are fighting it tooth and nail to stop it before it takes effect. They are not interested in the results that will most likely result from the outcome as they are sure it will show that a drop in illegal’s in Arizona will lift the state wide economy and drastically slow the drug and human trafficking.

This does not bode well for a group that is in dire need of votes come 2012 and who do you think these illegal’s will cast a vote for? The people that offer them a study program to citizenship through hard work like every other immigrant did over the last 150 years or the guy that gives them everything for free. The democrats know they will reap the votes from this group of immigrants but they most likely won’t be eligible to vote by 2012 and that is unacceptable by the liberal democrats.

Obama’s arrogance will be his undoing by pressing this lawsuit against Arizona and his blatant attempt to destroy the oil industry. He and his cronies are paddling upstream against the current by fighting the will of the American people. They are pushing and pushing for more government control of the free market system that has served us well for over 200 years.

They keep digging in deeper by moving in these directions rather than finding solutions to things the American people are seeking such as bolstering the economy and taking steps to create jobs.

This again goes against all that they hold sacred because in order to create jobs, government has to get out of the way and let the free market work. This current administration has no clue of how to handle anything. Not one of them has ever had a job that wasn’t taxpayer subsidized. None of them has run a successful corporation or business, none of them has had any military experience and none of them have the experience to handle a crisis such as the Gulf Oil Spill or to protect our borders.
The problem is not with Obama; the problem is with the people that were suckered in to voting for this charlatan. The dummying down of the American public’s view of politics aided by a press that has also drank the Kool-Aid by not reporting the truth is leading the people astray.

If your one of those that wait until Election Day to decide who you are going to vote for or vote for them because you saw the name on a sign on the way to the polls or because it’s easy to pronounce, you my friend, are the problem.

Cloward-Piven-Alinsky

Obama believes that the white “rich” man has stolen all the earth’s riches while holding down the minorities on this planet and that all of the riches of the earth should be divided equally upon all on the populace regardless of how much money the mean old rich man invested and studied to gain the technology to extract the resources. Nor the fact that these rich tyrants employed millions of people that moved them from plowing rocks and living in shacks to air conditioning and indoor toilets.

Obama sat in the same church for 20 years listening to his pastor trash talk America and his racist views on the white man yet he never considered this a reason to leave the church nor condemn the Rev. Jeremiah Wright until it became a campaign problem then Obama threw him directly under the bus.

Oprah had all she could stand and had the intelligence to walk away from this bigoted idiot.

Obama’s associations with Tony Resko and Gov. Blagojevich ended the same way; they too were set on fire when it was convenient for the Obama administration to hide their crooked connections with these characters and others.

The Obama administration has single handedly re-introduced racism in this country and they are moving ahead full steam to make sure that it sticks. Anything they can use to take more of our liberties for any reason they will.

Obama Logic

There must be a simply logical reason why Obama won’t let Arizona secure its borders or protect its citizens, right?

Or why he won’t let Gov. Bobby Jindal of Louisiana clean up the spill along the beaches of his state.

Gov. Jindal brought a lawsuit against the federal government after they put a moratorium on off-shore drilling because of the spill in the Gulf. A judge in Louisiana over-ruled the moratorium, but the Obama administration said that they will file another suit effectively creating a “de-fact-o moratorium” and costing the state 20,000 more jobs.

Obama, with his health care bill has brought about lawsuits is 15 states so far because it is unconstitutional.

He mandates that any state that receives stimulus money (our own money) must erect signs over road projects stating that this “Project funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act." Not one single job has been created by these signs. This is tax payer dollars being wasted by a mandate so that Obama can self-promote. It’s costing taxpayers $20 million for these signs, $650,000 in Illinois alone.

Obama’s DOJ and Eric Holder decided not to prosecute the New Black Panther Party members who threatened voters at the polls in 2008. One of them King Samir Shabazz spoke out to the Philadelphia Inquirer

"I'm about the total destruction of white people. I'm about the total liberation of black people. I hate white people. I hate my enemy... The only thing the cracker understands is violence... The only thing the cracker understands is gunpowder. You got to take violence to violence."

A documentary shot by National Geographic in 2009 shows King Samir Shabazz spewing his hatred stating "You want freedom? You're gonna have to kill some crackers! You're gonna have to kill some of their babies!"

This is the goal of the Obama administration; to destroy our way of life. In every situation Obama has gone against the will of the people. In November we will have a chance to speak to him loudly and clearly at the polls.

Government Scams

With Obama pointing the finger at BP for the oil spill, stealing money from them through extortion to pay for lost wages he himself caused by placing a moratorium on off-shore drilling, nowhere is the mention that BP followed exactly what the governments action plan was in the case of a spill in this deep of water, which was the oil would never make it to shore that it would dissipate or be absorbed by the ocean.

This was our governments own rules that BP had to abide by in order to get the leases to allow them to drill there. I in no way are releasing BP from their responsibilities, it’s their spill, they’re mess they should clean it up but they should not be held accountable for lost wages through no fault of their own.

Through the Community Reinvestment Act, banks and financial institutions were forced by government regulations to lower lending requirements so that people that normally could not afford a home because of wage limits or poor credit history would be able to secure a loan for a home whether they could afford the payments or not. This led to a sea of “creative financing” that is directly responsible for the current world wide depression we are now in.

The people responsible for over-seeing these organizations (Fannie & Freddie) and protecting our tax dollars which funded this scam; Chris Dodd, Barney Frank and Franklin Raines just to name a few are the ones running as fast as they can from it all the while pointing fingers anywhere else to take the spot-light off them.

Everything government touches with the exception of the military crashes eventually and now Obama is seeing to it that the military is also part of this equation with the removal of yet another critic of his policies.

Obama has yet to appoint anyone to his cabinet that rides the center of the fence politically or for that matter shows some conservative values. Everyone he appoints is as far left as he can find. His call for bipartisanship is as shallow as his promise to lower taxes and health care costs to his bid for lowering the deficit that he has himself quadrupled. Straight up, flat out lies.

As has been said over and over again; government cannot fix the problem when government is the problem.

Gulf Shakedown

Obama's decision to impose a six-month moratorium on deepwater oil drilling in the gulf penalizes companies that have a better safety records than BP's.
This will result in many of the advanced drilling rigs being sent to offshore oil fields abroad further sinking the economy of the Gulf States.

The Interior Departments justification for the order comes from a report supposedly "peer reviewed" by "experts identified by the National Academy of Engineering." But as it turns out the drafts the experts saw didn't include any recommendation for a moratorium. All of the experts have said they oppose the moratorium citing the move would “be more economically devastating than the oil spill” and "counterproductive" to safety.

This was blatant lie by the Obama administration, on an Orwellian scale.

And what about the decision not to waive the Jones Act, which bars foreign vessels from coming to the aid of the gulf cleanup? The Bush administration waived it after Katrina in 2005. The Obama administration hasn't and claims that, gee, there aren't really any foreign vessels that could help. More lies.

This is just a payback to the maritime unions, part of the union movement that gave Obama and other Democrats $400 million in the 2008 campaign cycle. It's the Chicago way: dance with the girl that brung ya.

Or the decision to deny Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal's proposal to deploy barges to skim oil from the gulf's surface. Can't do that until we see if they've got enough life preservers and fire equipment. How many believe that these ships and boats don’t know the rules when it comes to life saving devices?

Finally, there's the $20 billion escrow fund that Obama pried out of the BP treasury at the White House when he talked with them for the first time, 57 days after the rig exploded, with BP Chairman Tony Hayward. House Republican Joe Barton said it best when he called this a “shakedown”
Another additional $100 million for the people put out of work by the spill. But the problem here is, they are out of work not by the spill but rather by the Obama moratorium on off-shore drilling.

There already are laws in place that ensure that BP will be held responsible for damages, and the company has said it will comply. Again we have the federal government transferring property from one party to another. This was done without due process of the law by pay czar Kenneth Feinberg.

How many more illegal activities do we have to look forward to with this administration?

Butt Nuggetts from Obama

The speech Obama presented to us on Tuesday night had me screaming at the TV, his lies are starting to stack themselves like Lego’s.
His three point plan is to; A) Stop the leak. B) Clean up the mess and C) make sure it doesn’t happen again.

Sounds like a good plan until he added his push for his Cap-n-Tax bill, the tax on carbon emissions.

Let us not forget that carbon was the blame for the coming of the new ice age in the 70’s, global warming in the 90’s and then climate change in this new century. This theory was blown out the window when the lid popped off that the “scientific” data was corrupt and so were the people reporting it. Al Gore went into hiding and has barely been seen since.

This legislation has nothing to do with climate change; it is a bill to tax the American people as a penalty for using 22% of the world’s resources while having only 2% of the population as Mr. Obama likes to state over and over again.

We don’t steal these resources; we buy them and make other countries rich in the process. If these other countries don’t like our cash, they don’t have to sell to us.

Obama put a 6-month moratorium on deep water drilling in or until he can be assured that this won’t happen again. What a joke! There is nothing he can do to stop an accident from happening. There is nothing he can do now. He lacks the wisdom and experience needed to handle this situation.
This man has never even run a cash register but he thinks he’s qualified to run this country, give me a break!

He wallows in self pity stating that this is the “hardest 18 months any president has served” Really? Harder than when Ford had to take over for Nixon after Watergate or when JFK had to deal with the Cuba Missile Crisis or when Johnson had to fill in after JFK was assassinated? The list is endless, this man does not deserve this high honored post and he brings down the nobility of it a little every day.

Instead of embracing the will of the American people to close our borders to secure our country and jobs, he attacks the people of Arizona and sides with the criminal dictator of Mexico. Against the will of the people, he signs a health care bill full well knowing we cannot afford it.

Obama states that he will be adding yet another Czar to the list. “Oil Spill Czar” I guess he’ll call the position.
The new oil spill czar is not to be mistaken for the old oil spill czar, U.S. Coast Guard Admiral Thad Allen, who was officially designated the "National Incident Commander of the Unified Command for the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico" on April 30. Allen was appointed by Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano 10 days after the disaster, which Napolitano and Obama claimed they had been on top of since “day one”

Obama deemed that Allen, Napolitano, Energy Secretary Steven Chu, environmental czar Carol Browner, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar and the rest of his self-declared "all hands on deck" crew insufficient. We told him this months ago.

I’ve seen enough of this clown. It took everything I could muster to watch the full 15 minute speech.
I would love to see him speak again after the conservatives have taken control of the house just to watch him squirm.

Obama Oil Inc.

Obama again shows where his alliance lies with his refusal to do what the people want.

He refused to accept help from the Dutch just 3 days into the disaster that is devastating the environment and economy on our southern coast. The offer could have saved massive amounts of damage caused by the leaking oil.
He refused to buy the hundreds of miles of fire boom from a Texas company that could have burned off a good portion of the oil before it hit the coast and damaged the wildlife.

Now, just this week, he refuses to use foreign ships to aid in blocking the spread of the oil.

His reasons? He’s trying to walk a thin line with the environmentalists by not burning the oil that will cause air pollution adding to the damage already being done by the leak.

In the case of refusing the use foreign ships; labor unions won’t let him.

BP does not want to seal the leak. They are still carting off millions of barrels of oil from it every day. They need the cash as the Obama administration continues to scold them and attack BP’s bank accounts.

Obama cannot see the big picture here. Letting this oil continue to spread will cause a worldwide disaster. The currents in the Atlantic could carry the oil all up the eastern sea board and even into Europe.

This administration has put a moratorium on off-shore oil extraction for 6 months which will further destroy the economy especially in Texas and Louisiana, this is ludicrous! It just shows that he or no one in his cabinet has a clue as what to do here. Their lack of business sense and management experience is causing us more than money. Instead of making informed decisions, he continues to politicize this disaster.

He needs to quit waggling his finger and lift it instead to help stop this catastrophe or get out of the way and let those that know what they are doing get it done.

What Part of NO Taxes Do They Not Understand?

Lawmakers in Lansing in the House Tax Committee are taking up four bills (HB 6217-20) that will expand sales tax to a number of items currently exempted such as: newspapers, movies, magazines and food items sold in vending machines.

They estimate that the revenue from this tax will be $40 to $55 million.
These officials that cannot say NO to a pay raise for state union workers during a budget crisis yet the show up with some huge stones to ask struggling tax payers and small businesses for more money.

The raise they gave these union workers will cost us $83 million, so apparently they cannot do the math as this will still leave us in the hole.

We are already taxed more than 46 other states in the union and the time has come to “adjust” a few things. Maybe it is time for a Constitutional Convention in Michigan so we can return the legislature to a part-time status; we know they won’t vote this measure in for themselves.

Call or write your representative and let him or her know how you feel about this and how you will vote in November if these bills pass.

Baseball and Politics

With all that is wrong in our country; Obama lying about the jobs he offered Sestak and Romanoff to bow out of the political races they were in, our freedoms being stripped daily by law makers in Lansing and DC, oil gushing out of the ocean floor, the national debt soaring out of sight and our taxes about to jump up again, you’d think the likes of Gov. Jennifer Granholm, Sen. Debbie Stabenow and Rep. John Dingell would have enough to do rather than get involved in possibly passing legislation to over-ride a bad call in a baseball game.

Yet here they are twitting, tweeting and grandstanding about what can they do to correct this grave misdeed. The fact is that the no-hitter Armando Galarraga threw but was taken away by a bad call by umpire Jim Joyce will be remembered much longer than if the game had gone off without this call. Both of these gentlemen acted graciously to each other and were apologetic, showing real class and excellent sportsmanship.

These politicians are looking for any crumb they can use to show us that they are now “the good guys” after Granholm and the democrats of this state have destroyed Detroit and the automakers.

Dingell has never held a real job. He graduated from college and went right to work with his father who was the US Representative in the same district for many years, once he retired, John slipped right in with same last name and has been trying to get some form of health care passed ever since, regardless of what was in it. Nobody really knew because so many wrote it but none of them took the time to actually read all of it.

Debbie Stabenow has done her fair share of damage, voting solidly along party lines answering the call to socialism. She wants to abolish the first amendment. She does not like talk radio seeing the only ones that can actually draw a crowd are the conservative stations.

Talk America (whom her husband was a large investor) could never make a go of it mainly because people can only put up with so much hatred and anger without any facts to back it up. They get tired of the lies and twisting of the stories that the far left spew in an effort to hide their own insecurities.

Jenny “No Jobs” Granholm had good intentions but went to the dark side and fell into the trance of the far-left. The world would be a better place if we could get by on wind and solar power alone, but that technology is a long way off and we need fossil fuels now to keep the economy rolling. Taxing our manufacturing base until they left the state and took our jobs with them was not a good move.

In 5 years, we were blown away along with all of our jobs, over 1 million of them.

Obama says he take full responsibility for the BP Oil spill in the Gulf but never misses a chance to blame everyone else. He is demonizing oil companies; he just does not realize how much they contribute to our economy, the jobs and wealth they bring to our southern states in the form of jobs and tax revenues.

Obama stated that his AG Eric Holder “looked into” the job offers to Sestak and Romanoff and that they were “nothing there” that everything was legal.
This would be the same as a defense attorney walking into court and telling the judge that his client is innocent and the judge saying “OK, case dismissed then”

We need politicians that step up and take real responsibility for their actions as Jim Joyce did and not blow it off like so many in the current administration do.

NJ Gov. Chris Christie

New Jersey governor Chris Christie met with about 150 citizens in a church gym to discuss his tax and budget cuts. One of his cuts he had asked that teachers forego their annual pay increase and pay an additional 1.5% of their annual salary towards their benefits. When the teachers union, National Education Association (NEA) said “NO” Christie was forced to impose cuts.

“Your union said that is the greatest assault on public education in the history of the state," Christie said. "That’s why the union has no credibility, stupid statements like that."

Teacher Rita Wilson, a Kearny resident, argued that if she were paid $3 an hour for the 30 children in her class, she’d be earning $83,000, and she makes nothing near that. Christie told her that her benefits added up to quite a bit to which Wilson, who has a master’s degree, said she was not being compensated for her education and experience, Christie said:
"Well, you know then that you don’t have to do it." The audience cheered and applauded.

If all political leaders had the backbone and intestinal fortitude that Christie is showing, we wouldn’t be in the mess we are in. This country would be thriving beyond all imagination. Politicians are in the game to make the money, plain and simple.

Anybody that believes otherwise deserves to be fleeced.

When we go to the polls in August and November, remember these people are like teenagers, you can let them take the car but you still have to tell them to take the garbage out or clean their rooms. People we elect need to be reminded of why we put them there on a constant basis. It doesn’t take much; a quick email questioning them on an upcoming vote. This gets their attention.

Obama and the democrats say that spending under GW Bush was at an all time high when the truth of the matter is that when GW left office, he was at 2.1% of GDP just a few points above the WWII margin of 1.8%.

Under Obama’s plan, we are at now well above 4% and he did that in just one year. Think of the possibilities that he could do in 4 years or more.

Like Gov. Jennifer Granholm gushed in a speech about her plan for Michigan “In five years you are going to be blown away” Well that was the truth only we thought she meant that in a good way, that Michigan would be thriving again and jobs would be abundant, not that we’d lose a million jobs in our state and have another migration of our family, neighbors and friends to Texas and other states.

Texas by the way has no state tax on income and they have a part-time state legislature.

Obama campaigned as a moderate and even a conservative in some instances stating that he would rid Washington of the pork barrel spending by stripping the pork off all bills that came before him. So why was it no surprise when he went ahead and signed the Omnibus Bill with over 9,000 pieces of pork attached to it?

He promised that “no lobbyists would find a job in my cabinet” just two weeks after his election, he had nominated a lobbyist a day; Eric Holder, Tom Vilsack, William Lynn, David Hayes, Mark Patterson and Cecelia Munoz just to name a few. The list continues to grow as you read this.

Obama has toured the world explaining how bad the US and been to other countries and how we are not a Christian nation even though we were founded on Christian principals and that 85% of the country considers themselves to be Christians. He also likes to bow to radical dictators that use violence against their own people and he likes to give leaders of their countries the room to come onto our land and reprimand the American people as evil doers for wanting to protect our sovereignty by supporting our troops and protecting our borders.

This of his double-talk and lies goes on and on and on. I have heard as much as I can take from this man. I prefer to turn the channel whenever he appears on my TV, likewise when I hear him on the radio.

Common sense tells most Americans that this guy is useless and is doing everything he can to destroy our capitalistic ways and our free market system that has served us so well for over 200 years.

Calerdon's Mexico

I sat and watched as the president of Mexico Felipe Calderon criticized the US and blamed us for all that is wrong in his country. He attacked our 2nd amendment blaming it for 80% of the guns in Mexico. He blamed the people addicted to drugs here for causing the drug traffic on the Mexican border and causing the violence and deaths. He stated that Arizona’s immigration law would lead to racial profiling and that it "ignores a reality that cannot be erased by decree."

The democratic members of congress stood up and cheered, and gave this little puke a standing ovation.

I never thought I would see the day that a foreign dictator would come onto American soil and reprimand us and be supported by so many obviously neutered liberal politicians.

Calderon of course did not mention that his country has its roots under his leadership in socialism that is again just another example of how it does not work. He did not mention the fact that his people that come to our country and use our resources such as; free health care, food stamps and welfare send back hundreds of millions of untaxed dollars a year to Mexico making it the second largest revenue producing industry in Mexico.

While there may be some truth to Calderon’s statements, if his country had a style of government that promoted business and jobs, maybe the people would be more likely to stay and help grow their country.

As many as one million a year escape the blight the Mexican government has produced and they account for 31% of all immigrants in the US and that reflect 10% of the Mexican population. It must give Calderon a warm fuzzy feeling to know that 10% of the people born in his country leave it.

Calderon also did not mention that fact that under Mexico’s immigration laws, you go to jail if you are found to be there illegally, up to 10 years in some cases.

If it were not for the cash these immigrants send back to support their families, you can bet he’d make it illegal for Mexican’s to cross the border.

Maybe the US should adopt Mexico’s immigration laws, but it doesn’t matter if the federal government will not enforce it as has been the case all along and the reason Arizona had to pass their law to protect its citizens.

Obama has again trashed the United States and allowed Mexico’s president Felipe Calderon to do the same from the front lawn of the White House. If I were “king” I would have immediately said to all “this press conference is over” and had Calderon escorted back to the border along Mexico and let him walk back through the very troubled area’s that his policies have caused.

After this country and the generosity of our people have taken in millions of Mexicans, fed them, educated them, gave them free health care he has the audacity to say that our immigration laws are “flawed” and promote “racism”
Can we enter his country illegally and get fed, get free health care or a first class education?

This socialist country of Calderon’s has its people starving for education, there’s no work to be had, they are oppressed by the government and they are being killed by drug cartels that bribe the politicians and the police force, it’s the only way to make a decent living in Mexico. These are the results of Calderon’s policies, so why should we continue to support his country when his policies have terrorized his.

Obama again spewed more lies about the Arizona law speaking from the White House lawn stated that the law was a “misdirection“ of a “broken immigration system” and that this law was “unprecedented”

The word “broken” is a favorite of the Democratic Party used this past 18 months to describe; heath care, energy systems, banks, financial markets, auto makers, infrastructure, you name it, they’ve put a “broken” in front of it and tried to take it over.

None of the crime spree’s brought on by these Mexican drug cartels on a daily basis are brought to the attention by our press, yet when a 2nd grader asks Michelle Obama why the president is looking to send her illegal mother back to Mexico makes every channel on the dial.

I am fed up with Obama bowing to these oppressive dictators and whipping the American people like a red-headed step-child telling the world that America has been “bad” and” arrogant”

This law does nothing more than mirror the federal immigration laws that our government has yet to enforce. He stated that the law could lead to racial profiling. What law won’t?

Obama continues to divide the country using racism. Commenting on the law he said that people would be suspect of being an illegal because of how they look, meaning Hispanic people, well yeah! If a police officer gives a description of a bank robber wouldn’t the term “white male” or “black female” be helpful in identifying the suspect?

More than 60%of the people in this country support Arizona’s law and if the federal government does not start enforcing the laws already in place, the rest of the states will follow.

Napolitano and Holder

Why does Homeland Security Department Secretary Janet Napolitano, Attorney General Eric Holder and State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley, who have all gone on television to attack the Arizona Immigration Law and then admit they have yet to read the legislation still have job?

These idiots stumbled and stammered on National television when questioned by Sen. McCain on why they thought the Arizona Immigration Law was racially biased.

When McCain asked if they had read the bill, AG Eric Holder responded with “well I haven’t had the time, to uh, to read the whole thing. I uh – I browsed over it but no, I have not read it” Isn’t that his job?

Janet Napolitano, who has been a vocal critic of the new Arizona immigration law, told Sen. John McCain’s Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Monday that she had not reviewed the law in detail, but nevertheless repeated criticism she made in April on ABC’s “Good Morning America” that the law is a “bad law enforcement law.”

Laura Ingraham on her radio show while interviewing Lou Dobbs, commented that “she would not hire Napolitano to rake the leaves in her backyard” I would have to agree.

Obama called the bill “misguided” and then dumped out this huge lie... “Now, suddenly, if you don’t have your papers, and you took your kid out to get ice cream, you’re going to get harassed — that’s something that could potentially happen… That’s not the right way to go”

Governor Brewer and Commissioner Pierce of Arizona are standing up to these elitists bums. Gary Pierce in a letter to the Mayor of Los Angeles that if LA wanted to play the “boycott” game, he could suggest to Arizona’s power companies who supply power to LA to cut the cord or maybe they could increase costs. I’m sure this shut a few mouths in the LA city council meeting room.

All this commotion being thrown around by the liberals while they are spending our money faster that we can make it or they can print it; taking more of our freedoms everyday by passing laws such as the health care bill and unemployment is still at 10% and they’re telling us we’re going to have a jobless recovery?

What in the hell is that?

The libs are doing this to try and hide more of the same crap they’ve been doing. They very much want to pass Cap-n-Trade, the energy bill based on the lie that carbon is causing global warming. This was proven to be false but they don’t care about “science” they want more of our money; to limit what temperatures our homes should be kept at and what kind of car we can drive, how far we can drive it.

Fortunately, the vast majority of us are aware and we’re not buying into it. The polls and election results are beginning to reflect this, let’s keep the pressure up.

Where are the Fire Booms?

Despite the millions of dollars we have already paid in the form of taxes, the US did not have a single fire boom on hand to control the spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

Congress set a cap limit in the 1990 in response to the Exxon Valdez spill in Alaska at $75 million that oil companies would be expected to pay to cover the costs of oil spill clean ups. This is known as the Oil Pollution Act. Later in 1994, the Clinton administration produced the "In-Situ Burn" plan in 1994 calling for responding to a major oil spill in the Gulf with the immediate use of fire booms.

Problem is, they never purchased the booms.

Again, our government has failed us by spending our money that was intended to protect us against these accidents by spending the money elsewhere, most likely on some pet project in some congressman’s back yard.

Congress is now back peddling trying to raise the cost that oil companies must pay to $10 billion retroactively.

Obama, being the largest recipient of campaign donations from BP Oil had exempted them from a meeting on offshore oil safety.

No matter what his chatter, it’s business as usual in DC.

Taxpayers will again take it on the chin to pay twice and more for lack of government responsibility. If they succeed in raising the cost to BP to $10 billion, gas prices will go up. The fire booms that are now on order (6) that we already paid for will be paid for again using our tax dollars.

This in turn will lead to all costs rising again on food and consumables that are delivered using any method that requires oil and gas, which is everything we use. This is just what we need at this time. the economy despite the democratic talking heads, is not recovering. This has a real possibility of putting us into a real depression, something the Obama administration will be over-joyed about bringing about the "change" they have been looking for as spelled out in Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" that Obama taught in college and Hillary idolizes.

I can’t state strong enough the need to find the most conservative candidates and get them elected in 2010 and 2012. We thought the republicans were bad until this lot of criminals got put into the White House and are systematically destroying our country by “using whatever means possible” as quoted by Ms. Pelosi and “never let a crisis go to waste” Chief of Staff (as Sean Hannity refers to him) “Rahm Rambo Dead-Fish Emmanuel”

ObamaCare Revisited

Ronald Reagan was right on the money when he said, "One of the traditional methods of imposing statism or socialism on a people has been by way of medicine. It's very easy to disguise a medical program as a humanitarian project. ... From here, it's a short step to all the rest of socialism."

Obama lied, cheated and bought votes to get his ObamaCare plan through that will do everything he said it wouldn’t; increase costs -- how many still believe that? He stated that America spent more money on health care "but wasn't any healthier." He grossly distorted the numbers of the chronically uninsured. Lifestyles and diets have more to do with longevity than medical care does.

He lied when he said wouldn’t support a “public option” but quite possibly his biggest lie was that he would not sign a bill that added a dime to the federal deficit. This was his major selling point.

Just two months after the bill was signed, the CBO urged on by Rep. Jerry Lewis, has published a cost comparison on the real numbers, not the ones Obama, Reid and Pelosi fed them and guess what? It is well over the $1 trillion mark they guaranteed it would not go.

What has socialized medicine done for other countries around the world? Look at Greece, Italy, Ireland, Canada and Brittan to name a few.

The people of Greece are rioting in the streets, not because they want to save their country from ruin but because they want their money. They could care less about their country so long as other people pay for their health care, wages, food, and other items promised to them under the socialist style government. The government there is over-burdened with socialized health care bills, over-paid public job wages through public led unions that rape the system that include incredible benefits featuring the right to retire at age 50.
The same things are happening in Ireland.

Italy is at 115% of GDP, meaning they spend $115 for every $100 they take in. Watch for them to go postal soon.

Canada and Brittan have spent every dime they can steal from their citizens and still cannot keep costs under control. Brittan has just elected a conservative leader to Parliament and is looking hard to find a way back to capitalism and free markets to get them out of the red.

And here in this country, we have the liberal left yo-yo’s that think this is the way to go. WTF?
Could it be any planner than the egg on your face? This is not rocket science; an ounce of common sense shows us that this WILL NOT WORK! This is not some story from years gone by history; this is happening right now.

We must support the most conservative candidates we can find in the upcoming elections. Get out and VOTE!

LA City Council

I find it fascinating that the city council members in Los Angeles passed a vote to boycott any business they do with Arizona. Most of this was called symbolic by the mainstream press because it will have little effect on Arizona as LA does very little business with AZ.

All this over the fact that the people or AZ are over-run by illegal immigrants that are destroying the state financially.

Arizonans fork out nearly $1.3 billion annually to pay for all of the costs incurred from illegal immigration; around $810 million for education, $400 million for health care related expenses, $80 million in incarceration costs, and the remainder in welfare benefits. All of this is required while Arizona runs a $500 million deficit annually and these are figures from 2004. They estimate that every year the number of illegal’s increase by 500,000.

There is a need for some unskilled labor in the US but not at this rate. Our country is being sold out by the liberals by destroying our manufacturing, garment and energy industries.

We have become of country where in order to make a decent wage; you have to be a highly skilled worker; such as a doctor, engineer, chemist, etc.

Arizona and Gov. Brewer are doing exactly what they are supposed to do; protect their citizens and their way of life. The federal government won’t do it. The law has been around for a long time but they refuse to enforce it.

The democrats want amnesty, that way they can add another 15 million democratic voters to prop up more of their liberal agenda.

This is a little message I sent to each and every member of the LA city council through the link at the top of this letter.

I'll tell you what "symbolic" is: NO more California wines, almonds, avocados, citrus juices or fruits in my house... Now that's symbolic!

Entitlements & Taxes

The age of entitlements is destroying our nation. The families of those that were killed on 9/11 are getting millions (an average of $1.185 million) through the federal government while the families of our fallen soldiers get squat. Now the people from the Oklahoma City bombings have organized and are asking for the same deal as was reported by Rush Limbaugh.

We can see where this is leading. This is the end result of 50 years of entitlements; everybody thinks the government owes then something, problem is, the government has no money or no way of generating it other than taking it from all of us.

So in effect, we will have to pay for what the radical Islamic terrorists did to these people while Obama bows to leaders of these countries, keeps apologizing for the U.S. and telling them how arrogant we are.

The federal government is good at one thing and that is finding creative ways to take more of our money even if it is not supported by our constitution. They use slippery techniques to hide these increases in the back of bills passed that have nothing to do with what the bill was intended such as adding health care expenses into the stimulus bill or tacking on a few cents on our phone, gas and electric bills.

Congress sees fit to make sure they get a raise while telling seniors they will not get a 3% raise they were supposed to get. Our state legislature did the same thing; they get an automatic raise unless two-thirds of the senate votes it down, but no such luxury is afforded to us when they want to raise our taxes.

The military was about to get a well needed pay increase but the Pentagon is yelling “Whoa, hold on here, that’s a lot of money” The Pentagon is facing a crunch in its budget and now doesn’t want to pay the people that do the work the money they deserve.

Military soldiers deserve to be paid at least the same amount police officers do, but the Pentagon doesn’t like using the proverbial “war chest” to pay them. Everybody wants to pass the buck and no one wants to be responsible for paying their fair share. The liberals are fond of giving away every bodies else’s money as long as it’s not theirs.

Everybody needs to pay their fair share in taxes. Why in the world are we taxed for “income”?

This by its name begs the question; why work if you’re going to punish me for earning?

A consumption tax would be a great idea if we could get it passed the letches in Washington that are control freaks and dubious greed mongers. With a consumption tax (sales tax) we would eliminate a whole slew of taxes that compiled on top of each other.

When you get your paycheck, you are paid with money that has already been taxed. When you buy gas for your car, you pay another tax using money that has already been taxed. If you make a mortgage payment, you pay more taxes with money that has already been taxed.

We need to alleviate these taxes and reduce the size and scope of government. They have grown too large and have gained too much control. We need to start by replacing everyone in congress that supports big government. In our current situation, that would be 99% of democrats. Once we replace these power and money seekers, we can work on the republicans that do not adhere to our constitution until we have achieved our goal of a conservative lead congress.

As was pointed out by Rick Santorum on the Bill Bennett Show, “When conservatives in the house give a lecture or speech on a bill they support, they show charts and graphs to indicate how this plan will work and why”. When a liberal gets up, it’s with pictures and stories of a person suffering”

They never give a solid reason of how the plan will work, what the true cost will be or what effect it will have on the future of our economy and country.

Let’s take the health care bill. Originally, the reason to pass this bill was to cover the uninsured and to reduce costs. John Dingell brought in a woman; Marcia Boehm in a wheelchair from New Jersey to help him sell this plan at a Town Hall meeting in Romulus, Mi in August of 2009. Costs were of no concern to Dingell, destroying the health care of 85% to satisfy the 15% made sense to him. All emotions and no facts.

Consider the outrageous quotes by Florida Rep. Alan Grayson; “We’re dealing with people on the other side who are utterly unscrupulous. We have to look at what the future holds for this country in the direction the present administration is taking us and we have great examples happening right now in Greece and Great Britain, They are rioting in the streets in Greece because the socialist government has spent every bodies money and now to get the country out of bankruptcy, they must make cut-backs. What a concept! Why didn’t they think of that before they went belly-up?

The same thing has happened in Great Britain. The working class are fed up with paying enormous amounts of taxes to support those that don’t. It has gotten to the point in these countries that if the government takes any more money in taxes, the people will not be able to pay mortgages, rent or automotive loans.

This is the direction that Obama and the democrats are trying to lead us. They think because they can pull it off because they are “smarter” than those in these other countries.

Far be it from me to question a leader that has no experience running a business, has never held a real job in the private sector, and whose main skill set seems to be that of a radical community organizer hell-bent on destroying the capitalist system that provided him the most opportunities and the best possible education in the world.

If it were not for talk radio and conservative news outlets, most of this information would be buried in the state-run media. Free speech must remain free in order for this republic to stand tall.

Obama and his minions attack the people of this country that want a fiscally responsible and constitutionally limited government. They refer to them as right wing nut jobs, tea baggers, Timothy McVeigh wannabes and swastika carrying Nazi’s but they won’t call the people that attempt to blow up US cities and citizens what they are – terrorists.

The terrorists use car bombs and suicide bombs to blow up buildings, parking structures and kill innocent people.

This latest incident with the Times Square bomber is a case in point. If this jihadist would have carried out his mission, we wouldn’t be calling them “made made disasters” as Sherlock Napolitano wishes to refer to them.
We’d be having congressional hearings, senate hearings and if we had someone with balls in the White House, we’d be sequestering every nation that has contributed to the training and funding of these crimes instead of bowing and apologizing for the way the US has treated these poor souls.

If not for the US, most of these countries would still be riding a horse to work.

Obama accuses the US of using “25% of the world resources” when we are only “3% of the world population” So what! We’re not stealing the oil from the Middle East. We’re not robbing the Chinese of all the goods they make. We are paying for them and making these countries filthy rich in the process.

The US has created, designed and manufactured new technologies that have brought health, wealth, life-changing products and conveniences to the majority of the world and in some cases; we have given away the technologies.

How would our world look today had the United States stayed part of the British Empire and never became the world’s super power? Would Great Britain even be a country or would we all be speaking German or Japanese.

Obama needs to replaced; plain and simple. He has only contempt for this country and our way of life. He was programmed all his life starting with his Muslim Marxist father and right on up and through the teachings of Saul Alinsky and his hate-mongering, anti-American preacher, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright who all taught him that America is a “demon” country.

We are a greedy and treacherous people that steal resources from other countries -- we kill women and babies to secure oil and other riches that we hold precious. When he looks at America’s culture and heritage, he sees only the bad. He believes we should take everything from the haves and give it to the have-nots until there is nothing left but the elitists and the have-nots.

The liberals are always in favor of spreading the wealth as long as I’s not their wealth being spread around.

Democrats have long pushed the lie that they are "for the poor" but history paints a different picture.
It was the Republicans that fought and freed the slaves. It was the Republicans that sought restitution to the American Indians for the way they were treated; it was the Republicans that led the Civil Rights movement, it was Strom Thurmond a democrat that holds the record for the longest filibuster when he tried to stop the Civil Rights Act of 1957.

Democrats are willing to destroy our way of life and our country by looking at amnesty as a way to increase their voter support. They know that by passing an amnesty bill, they will increase their voter support by 16 million people; that is if all of them register and actually vote. By continuing the nanny state and giving these people health care, welfare and food stamps, the people will stay at or under the poverty level and will pay no taxes, thus guaranteeing democratic voters.
The democrats are not for the poor; they are for the elitists and use the poor as a voter base.

Illegal drugs brought to this country across our southern border destroy 1.6 million teen lives a year. And that doesn’t take into account the number of family members that are affected by these kids addicted to these drugs.

Everyday drugs are being carried across our open border. Every week people die at the hands of drug cartels trafficking drugs across our border.

Our federal government has done nothing to enforce the laws that exist. The people of Arizona -- fed up with the wishy-washy John McCain and his left of center ways passed a state law that in effect, gives state law enforcement the tools in which to carry out the laws dictated by the federal statutes.

There is neither “profiling” nor “racism” in this bill. People will not have to do as the liberal talking heads and the state run media has suggested will happen with the “show me your papers” remarks assimilating the law with Gestapo law enforcement tactics. Nothing could be further from the truth. This law does nothing more than what the federal law already provides for.

So much controversy over racial profiling has been brought up, but if you ask the legal Mexican immigrants and the Mexican-Americans if they mind being questioned, there is a resounding “no problem”. These people have or are in the process of paying their dues to become legal citizens of this country, they play by the rules set up to protect them and us and resent the fact that congress is even considering amnesty.

The illegals are not just taking white American jobs; they are taking jobs from the Mexican-Americans as well.

The cost of Social Services programs since 1996 to handle illegal immigration is a staggering $397+ billion. We cannot afford this cost any longer. We need to elect people to congress that will enforce the laws and protect our borders.

I believe that every one as the right to live in whichever country they want, but I also believe that in order to get the benefits of that country, you must play by the rules. Learn the heritage, learn the language and pay your fair share.

The liberals always jump to conclusions anytime there is a problem. For example, the Times Square bomber that was stopped this week, the Democratic NYC Mayor Bloomberg suggested that it was “probably some right wing nut job that was unhappy with the health care bill” Why would he suggest this?

There has been no reported incident of violence by any conservative, tea party member or for that matter a republican, but the liberals are trying to show tea party members as Timothy McVeigh wannbes.

This is the third attack in a year on our soil. We had the underwear bomber in Detroit, the massacre at Ft. Hood Texas and now this foiled attempt in New York which by the way was thwarted by a newspaper stand vendor, but of course Janet Napolitano took full credit for the capture. Napolitano was of course the one that stated, “the system worked” when the Detroit bomber was captured by passengers after his bomb material failed to ignite.
How can she say, “the system worked” when the system had nothing to do with the detection or capture of this terrorist.

No one in the Obama administration will call these what they are; a terrorist attack. They don’t want to step on any toes in the Muslim world.

They will however call the people of Arizona “racists” for having the guts to enforce the laws that the federal government will not. These are laws already on the books yet the federal government will not enforce them.

The high cost of cheap labor is destroying our country.

According to the Center on Immigration Studies, households headed by illegal aliens imposed more than $26.3 billion in costs on the federal government in 2002 and paid only $16 billion in taxes, creating a net fiscal deficit of almost $10.4 billion, or $2,700 per illegal household.
Among the largest costs are Medicaid ($2.5 billion); treatment for the uninsured ($2.2 billion); food assistance programs such as food stamps, WIC, and free school lunches ($1.9 billion); the federal prison and court systems ($1.6 billion); and federal aid to schools ($1.4 billion).

Legalization (Amnesty) would increase average tax payments by 77 percent, but average costs would rise by 118 percent.

The Center did two simulations of immigration reform and found that in both cases the deficit left by each illegal household would be -$6,022 and -$7,668 It’s a no win situation. Granting amnesty will not alleviate the problem.

Leaving our borders wide open will however lead to many more attacks on American soil and will certainly kill more people. We need to treat these foiled bombers as if the bombs had gone off and we need to secure our borders now.

Carl Levin and The Bad Old Bankers

Senator Levin hauled in executives from Goldman-Sachs this past week to “scold” them and to try to suggest that they were the cause of the financial melt-down in the housing market. This is a joke and just more political posturing trying to vilify the rich and to try and boost the sagging democratic congressional poll numbers in an election year.

The financial meltdown began with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac under the “expert tutelage” of Franklin Raines as he and others smoked the books and siphoned off billions of tax payer dollars as bonuses.

Most of all the home mortgages in the U.S. were covered by these 2 democratic controlled lending institutions. You can thank Barney Frank and Chris Dodd for the mortgage meltdown. They both are the chairman of the banking mortgage committees in the house and the senate and both voted against regulating Fannie and Freddie in 2005. Under guidance and control of the federal government Fannie and Freddie were told to keep buying up troubled mortgages, all this while bad mortgages were still being issued.

Janet Reno and several other former employees of Bill Clinton worked and were in charge of Fannie and Freddie. Also, you can thank ex-president and elitist Jimmy Carter for enacting the “Fair Housing Act”. That act forced lending institutions to give mortgages to poor people who could not afford a house. This act was expanded under Clinton in authority by Housing Secretary Cisneros and later Andrew Cuomo; all while being monitored by Barney Frank and Christ Dodd.

All these people mentioned orchestrated this by forcing banks and lending institutions to lend money to poor people that could not afford houses.

Under Housing Secretary Cisneros the law was that every dollar that was lent out by any lending institution had to lend an additional $0.35 to poor people in impoverished areas. Under Housing Secretary Cuomo, that rate was increased to $0.50 for every dollar that was lent out.

When problems started showing up with the mortgage meltdown, Fannie and Freddie were told to start buying up the risky mortgages. To hide this they cooked the books to keep this problem under lock and key. Hence, the mortgage meltdown was created because the “haves” must give to the “have-nots”.

This is socialism at its best. Stop blaming bankers and Wall Street for our problems. Mr. Levin needs to start blaming his liberal socialist agenda that has kidnapped the Democratic Party that believes the money will never run out. When it does, their motto is to borrow more. And when they can’t borrow anymore and they have no answers to solve this collapse of our economy, so they blame the evil capitalist that are wealthy. They make them villains only because they have a lot of money. It must be the rich that caused this problem.

Well, I got news for you; it is the liberal socialist movement that encourages people to be lazy, to become dependent on the government for everything, to hate anyone that is successful, and to become dedicated democratic voters.

Hard working tax payers of America need to wake up. We may have different beliefs, but the one thing we have in common is that we pay far too much in taxes. Taxes that encourage people to be lazy and taxes that allow politicians to spend our money with no consequences. I am sick and tired of my hard earned tax dollars going to people that whine, complain, and people with low or no self-esteem, no dignity and I object to my tax dollars being wasted going to lazy people in this country.

And I am fed up with politicians raising taxes on everything they can think of in order to continue their out of control spending.

Common sense tells the average American families that during hard times to control spending, cut the waste, and work with a budget, the politicians answer to this crisis is to spend more and increase entitlement programs for the lazy. The people that truly need a hand up should get it, but the hand-outs have to stop.

Fiscal Responsibility Summit?

Today Barack Obama’s summit on fiscal responsibility (National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform) will convene for the first time at the White House. The job at hand or should I say hand job is to make recommendations to Congress to balance the budget by 2015 and to improve our long-term fiscal outlook. This commission is meeting when just a little over a month after Congress approved a new $2.5 trillion health care entitlement that the Obama administration now confirms will increase our nation’s total health care spending.

This is a common pattern for the White House; first enact record breaking levels of deficit spending, then turn right around and make a promise of strict spending sometime in the future.

After signing the largest single-year increase in domestic federal spending since World War II , Obama held a “fiscal responsibility” summit designed to “send a signal that we are serious” about putting the nation on sounder financial footing. The Washington Post’s Dana Milbank penned at the time: “Holding a ‘fiscal responsibility summit’ at the White House in the middle of a government spending spree is a bit like having an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting at a frat house on homecoming weekend.”

Congress has now missed its April 15 deadline for enacting a budget resolution, which is one of the few pieces of legislation that Congress must pass annually. If Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) fails to pass a budget it will be the first time since the 1974 Congressional Budget Act that the House has failed to do so. Americans around the country, beaten down by this recession are looking at their budgets to see how they can get by and where they can cut back more to save a few dollars. Yet Congress—despite a $1.5 trillion deficit in 2010 and historic deficits as far as the eye can see—cannot manage to set any budget framework for the next few years.

Last week, Pew Research Center released a survey showing just 22% of respondents said they trust the federal government almost always or most of the time. Last March Pew found by 54% to 37%, people favored the government exerting more control over the economy. Now, by 51% to 40%, a majority of Americans say they want less government control. If President Obama’s fiscal responsibility commission is to have any credibility with the American people, the first item on its agenda must be the full repeal of the President’s $2.5 trillion health care entitlement.

California v/s McDonalds

As the California legislature is looking into forcing the McDonald’s fast-food chain to drop the toy in the Kid’s Meal package they sell if an effort to curb kids away from fatty foods, I for one would like to know; who are these kids driving themselves to McDonald’s and buying these meals?

McDonald’s has over 450 restaurants in California and each location employs around 60 workers, that’s 27,000 jobs for this state which is a drop in the bucket to the top 6 largest employers in Los Angeles County, all of which are government agencies.
This county alone employs over 95,000, no wonder the state is broke.

Now they are threatening private businesses with socialistic laws. The last thing this state needs or this country for that matter is more laws, specifically laws that will cut more jobs.

The toy may be made out of the country but there are still many jobs along the way that would be eliminated if this toy is removed and what if McDonald’s decided it was no longer in their best interest to do business in California – 27,000 employees’ plus at least that many more that support the restaurants such as food suppliers, cleaning companies and landscaping services.

If these kids are getting too much fat and calories in their diets, I wouldn’t point the finger at McDonald’s as the problem. Maybe we should also outlaw videos games and computers.

If the parents of these kids would grow some stones and set the record straight instead of catering to and coddling them they’d have a better diet outlook and most likely we’d have much more respectable group of children in this world.

Can California afford to lose another 50,000+ jobs?

I listened to Paul W. Smith on WJR Radio Show this morning as he interviewed Geoffrey Fieger.

Mr. Fieger was on talking about the death of his brother, the singer for the band “The Knack” who had passed away recently after a 6 year battle with cancer, his recent movie about his life and times with Dr. Jack Kevorkian that just aired on HBO over the weekend.

Mr. Fieger then moved the topic to his election as the democratic candidate against then sitting Governor John Engler. Governor Engler won a third term by a landslide.

Mr. Fieger still believes that taxes must be raised in this state, even though we have lost nearly a million residents. Michigan’s annual budget bottom line they must have to stay in business is around $33 billion but for some reason, the legislators in Lansing are working with budget in $47 billion range. This is $14 billion above what is needed to cover operating expenses for the year.

We as citizens and residents of this state have had to take it on the chin and pear down on what we spend. Prices for everything have gone up; food, gas, electricity, insurance and our government still wants to raise taxes. Our salaries, dollar for dollar are what they were in 1998 yet the cost of living has more than doubled.

Mr. Fieger wants to know where the funds will come from if taxes are cut even more. Well, if we lost a million residents, wouldn’t one assume we have fewer expenses now? If was feeding 2 kids and they moved out to be on their own, my costs would certainly go down.

His thinking and his party are what is wrong in this state. The demise of Detroit and some surrounding suburbs comes from the destruction of family values by substituting a welfare check to replace the father in the family and embedding the idea that people are “owed” something.

Nothing is ever free and everybody needs to contribute their part.

Republicans are always accused of supporting the rich while the democrats are support the poor.

My take is that the rich provide jobs to those that want to work while the democrats supply welfare checks for those that don’t.

Liberals always want to give away money as long as it is not their own, that’s why they support Democrats; they take from the middle class to give to the poor while the rich hide behind tax shelters that the democrats create.

They make these rules and laws so complicated that only the rich can afford to hire the accountants and attorneys to navigate through them.

Mr. Fieger also believes that a republican will win the Governor’s race no matter who is running this November, I can only hope he is right on this note.

Barack Hussein Alinsky

Why is it that Barrack Obama taught from Saul Alinsky’s book “Rules for Radicals” gave it as a gift to foreign dictators like the Kim Jong IL of North Korea and yet half of the people in this country don’t believe he is a radical himself nor has Marxists tendencies?

What will it take for these people to wake up and see what this man is doing to our country? Don’t “listen” to what he says, watch what he does.

The number one step to dismantling a country like ours is to drive a wedge in between our intelligence agencies like the CIA and FBI. In doing so Obama has made our nation incapable of defending its interests or its allies around the world by requiring all prisoners “of war” to be Mirandized in the field as they are captured.

His attorney general Eric Holder went on the attack trying to criminally charge intelligence officers and others that followed out the Bush administrations directives to garner info from captured terrorists. The method that was seen as inhumane -- water-boarding was approved by all of the people that now said they were against, like Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi.

Obama and the democrats knew this would go nowhere but by causing these people a great deal of financial loss and effectively destroying their careers would surely detour other agents from effectively carrying out their work on new suspects.

Al Sharpton commented on Obama and stated that he didn’t know why the people of this country were surprised at Obama’s socialist politics; after all “they voted for a socialist”
Obama and the democrats against the will of the people (nearly 80% by all polls) voted in a socialist health care plan that will raise taxes on all Americans contrary to Obama’s promise not to. He also is not renewing the Bush tax cuts which raise taxes even further.

Obama thinks we should be on the same line as Western Europe and how is that working for them?

It’s not. Crime is rampant, unemployment has sky-rocketed and spending is out of control. They are looking to bring capitalism and free markets back because socialism does not work.

Governor Granholm

Michigan governor; Jenny “No Jobs” Granholm is one of Obama’s list of ten possibilities for the open Supreme Court seat.

Just a few weeks ago, Ms. Granholm was red faced when it was discovered that she had been on-stage in a photo-op congratulating a businessman for securing a state tax credit of $9.1 billion dollars to create 765 jobs in Flint by converting an old chassis plant into renewable energy plant.

Flint resident Richard Short the recipient of the tax credit did 6 years in prison for embezzling from a Muskegon battery maker and was convicted of bank fraud.

Greg Main head of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation should have been fired over this boondoggle. He was the one that approved the tax credit and worked with Mr. Shot for months setting up the plan. A five minute check on Google would have alerted the agency of this man’s background.

In November of 2006, Michigan residents approved a proposal to prohibit discrimination or preferential treatment based on race or gender in the operation of public employment, public education or public contracting in the State. Ms. Granholm, against the will of the people is still fighting to over-turn this amendment going all the way to the Supreme Court if necessary, yet another waste of tax payer dollars.

Ms. Granholm has raised or tried to raise taxes in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 included in the 2007 increase was the largest tax increase in Michigan’s history.

New York should take a look at Michigan, because this is what they are going to look like after Governor David Paterson gets through with them.

I think Ms. Granholm would fit right in with the Obama regimes plan to do to this country what she has done to Michigan, tax us out of prosperity and destroy our jobs.

We definitely should not reward her with a life-time job after the destruction she has caused here.

28th Amendment

Here are a few points as to why 76% of the American people do not trust their government

* They voted to NOT give you a Social Security Cost of living raise in 2010 and 2011.
* You will not get the 3% COLA: $660/year.
* Your Medicare premiums will go up $285.60 for the 2-years.
* Your total 2-yr loss and cost is -$1,600 or -$3,200 for husband and wife.
* U.S. House & Senate have accepted a salary increase of $4,700 and $5,300 respectively.
* Over these same 2-years each Congress person will get $10,000.
* Congress passed health care while more than 60% of the people were against it.
* Congress exempted themselves from this plan.

This past year has shown us that there are no “moderate democrats” in DC. They all voted to increase spending at every opportunity.

This year, you will have a chance to get rid of these pork patrons; that’s one-third of the Senate and 100% of the House.

Make sure you stay engaged and in November we will replace them and this will also remind the replacements of what can happen to them.

Additionally, we need to ensure that any law written spells out the language in the constitution that gives specific power for government to pass that law, if it does not -- it goes down in flames.

I think it’s time we added a 28th amendment to our Constitution. "Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators or Representatives, and Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States"

Slick Willie Clinton

Ex-president Slick Willie Clinton used the anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing as a opportunity to attack the tea party groups by paralleling them to Timothy McVeigh stating that the “bombs haven’t exploded, yet”

This is a guy who became President, went to the extreme left -- and when the American people rose up against him by electing a majority to take control of the house, he had to turn back to the center and he has been pissed off about it ever since.

This is the same man that was impeached from the presidency for lying under oath about his sexual relationship with White House aide, Monica Lewinski. He also has an incredibly long list of women conquests which I’m sure he collected the majority of them while married to his wife.

He is also the same guy that had to spend millions if our tax dollars defending himself in court over the White Water Real estate scandal.

Mr. Willy also wrote that McVeigh and friends "took to the ultimate extreme an idea advocated in the months and years before the bombing by an increasingly vocal minority: the belief that the greatest threat to American freedom is our government, and that public servants do not protect our freedoms, but abuse them."

The last line of his statement is true. The servants of this country are the greatest threat to our freedoms. Who was it that passed health care against the will of the people? Who are they that continually raise taxes and attach our first and second amendment rights?

No other country or group has the power to undermine our security or our system only those in power that write the rules and laws can do that. By installing like-minded people into key positions as Obama has done with his staff and judicial appointments can one control the law.
If they want to pass health care as they have, which goes against our constitution, we can fight it in the courts but if Obama has installed the judges he wants, he will attain the outcome he wants regardless of what the people say.

Slick Willy needs to get a bus and some fishin’ poles, gather up Jimmy Carter and head out for some fly fishing in Canada or some other country that has some of that free health care and keep his mouth shut. Every time he opens his mouth, all I hear is “I did not have sexual relations with that woman”

Senate Investigative Committee

I received and email from Sen. Carl Levin (D-Mi) informing me of a committee he is forming to investigate the financial crisis. What a joke!

This is like the coyote guarding the hen house!

It was Barney Frank’s committee that was charged to over-see the banking and financial markets but they fell asleep as the contributions to their campaign funds kept growing with donations from Fannie and Freddie.
It was the democratic members of congress that let this happen. They made the rules to allow this to come about and now they want to “investigate” it? Give me a break.

Financial institutions bought huge packages of loans from Freddie and Fannie because the American taxpayer through the federal government insured them, but the democrats let Fannie and Freddie cheat so that the bad loans spread like cancer in our system.

The democrats lied, covered up and killed legislation to protect Freddie and Fannie; their cash cow. McCain, Bush and the republicans tried to stop it over and over again. Bush asked 15 times alone in his last year about the problems at Freddie and Fannie. Maxine Waters and Barney Frank denied any wrong doing all the while knowing that Franklin Raines was criminally cooking the books to line his pockets with millions in bonuses.

This “committee” set up by Sen. Levin is just another bit of political posturing trying to make up some ground from their move against our Constitution and against the will of the people by passing a health care bill that they knew we did not want.

These people have been forthright it telling us that the Constitution meant nothing to them, that they had no concerns over it when writing and passing laws that the Constitution gave them no powers to do.

If Sen. Levin is truly serious about this, lets set up a committee of citizens to investigate this crime against the American people and let the chips fall where they may.

To quote President John Adams, "I have come to the conclusion that one useless man is a disgrace, two are a law firm, and three or more become a Congress." With the approval rating of the current congress hanging somewhere in the single digits, one has to ask: Can't we do better than this for $174,000 a year and the best benefits package in America?

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was asked by a reporter to cite the provisions in the Constitution granting Congress the authority to pass a health care bill, she answered with an incredulous, "Are you serious?"

Senator Max Baucus (D-MT), one of the authors of this monstrosity, said that the legislation would address the "maldistribution of income in America." (It seeks to redistribute our money)
House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers (D-MI), who made the following statement recently concerning the health care bill: "I love these members of Congress; they get up and say, 'Read the bill!' What good is reading the bill if it's a thousand pages long and you don't have two days and two lawyers to find out what it means after you read the bill?"

This man is a lifelong lawyer and a 22-term Democrat. Do you think he cares about what is constitutional and what is not?

Mocking the concerns of congressional Republicans, President Obama stated at his White House dog and pony health care summit to John McCain; "The campaign is over, John." You could have fooled me, Obama has done nothing but since he took office.

Now we have Rep. Phil Hare (D-IL) who states on camera when asked about the constitutionality of the bill; “I don't worry about the Constitution on this...What I care more about, I care more about people dying every day who don't have health care."

When he was further questioned he gaffed again; "I believe it says we have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." A bystander pointed out that those words are not in the Constitution but rather in the Declaration of Independence, Hare replied, "Doesn't matter to me. Either one”

So now that the socialists’ democrats have passed their health care bill against the will of the people and against the constitution, how will you vote in August and November?

Cox-Granholm Debate

Governor Granholm stated openly that she wanted AG Mike Cox to withdraw his name from the lawsuit against ObamaCare stating that he “wasn’t representing his client” she was of course referring to herself. The governor is not a “client” of the Attorney’s general office but rather the people of the state are and this is why Mr. Cox filed the suit and why the people of Michigan are supporting Mr. Cox in his attempt to stop the intrusion of the federal government into our freedoms.

Ms. Granholm states that ObamaCare “is good for Michigan” well I look at her track record and have decided anything she thinks is good, we should run, not walk in the other direction.

Her administration has treated businesses in this state like a personal piggy bank raising taxes on businesses at will whenever the funds got low until they drove businesses right out of the state. If you had bullies stealing your milk money on the way to school everyday, you’d find another route to school and that’s what our businesses did and took our jobs with them.

The Granholm administration is always looking for new and exciting ways to bring jobs to our state but every attempt has been a dismal failure, attracting businesses that compete with already established businesses here and giving huge tax breaks to companies like the film industry, who use the breaks once and are gone off to the next state that will pay them to make a movie there.

Instead of trying to attract new businesses here they should have been looking at ways to keep the already proven businesses here in Michigan.

This health care bill will destroy thousands of jobs in the health insurance industry, the medical field, and this will have a devastating effect all across the board especially in Michigan. The democrats have already destroyed our manufacturing base and will soon try to kill the steel and energy industries with the Cap-n-Trade legislation.

I applaud Mike Cox for taking the initiative to protect the people of this state.

Searchlight NV

Harry Reid supporters misdirected Tea Party Express gatherers on the way to a rally in Searchlight NV last week.

People holding signs stating that the gathering was here directed Andrew Breitbart a speaker for the event, who was traveling independent of the group, into the wrong parking area.

He was approached by people holding their Support Harry Reid signs and witnessed some of them throwing eggs at the passing Tea Party Express bus.

Later that day, a police officer approached Andrew and told him that the Reid supporters accused him, Andrew of throwing the eggs at the bus.
Fortunately, Andrew’s camera crew had been recording the entire event. They also admitted on camera that they had been mis-directing people on the way to the event down the wrong road for hours.

This event was being held in the desert away from everyone else so as not to disturb the people that supported Mr. Reid yet these same people took it upon themselves to go out of the way to cause trouble and to try and show that the Tea Party movement was resorting to violence.

This will be a common modus operandi for the Democratic Party as they try desperately to break down the Tea Parties before the November elections

Harry Reid was instrumental in buying senators votes to get this 2,700 piece of legislation passed against the will of the people.
Our own senator Carl Levin [D] held out for his own “Corn Husker Kickback” or “Louisiana Purchase” to secure billions in subsidies for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan.

Business as usual in DC; doesn’t matter what party it is, they all bow to big money. One thing for sure is, not one republican voted for this massive take-over of our economy hiding it behind a “health care” title.

Medicare to Blue Care

Our pay rate, dollar for dollar is the same as it was in 1998 yet everything else has increased; food, gas, taxes, you name it. The government cannot get enough of our money.

This new health care mandate that people can keep their children on until they are 26 as I see it is nothing more than a transfer of money. The government can force people to buy insurance. They can force insurance companies to cover all regardless of their condition which is a huge relief for the government as they can move people that are disabled from birth and make the insurance companies pay for them rather than add them to Medicare.

This will cause the costs to rise even more and when insurance companies need to raise rates, the government will refuse them and eventually the insurance companies will have to bow out and close their doors.

Once they have their single payer system, all hope is lost. The waiting lines will grow, the number of doctors will diminish and death rates will increase.
Medical device manufacturers would not back the senate plan, the senators said, ok, “we’ll slap a tax on them”. So now every medical device sold is subject to a tax which will add to the costs and again force prices higher.

Some of the people that support this bill use the reasoning that people in the US don’t live as long as people in other countries. This has nothing to do with health care; it has to do with lifestyles, diet and family histories.

There is no need for government to take over another 16% of our economy to preach to us as to what we should eat, drink and our exercise regimen. Insurance companies already offer incentives for healthy lifestyles.

Another daunting thought that enters my mind on a daily basis; my tax dollars are being used to murder babies in the womb.

Government has no business being in the private industry whether it is medical or industrial. Their record is written and in the private world, they rate last.

Rep. John Dingell

I listened to Rep. John Dingell on the Frank Beckman radio show where he spelled it out -- “so we can control the people” He went on further to say that “we are not taking over the insurance companies” but then immediately followed up with “we will control the insurance companies” that the insurance companies were not regulated well enough.

Most of the reasons for the costs of insurance premiums are associated with government controls. As I stated many times before, government writes the rules that either accept or deny claims. They won’t touch tort reform which is shown to be a major cause of higher insurance rates nor work towards the fraud in Medicare estimated to be $80 billion a year.

Dingell told Frank that he was “spreading terror and lies” The only one spreading terror and lies are the democrats in congress by passing a health care bill that the majority of the people against.

Then we have the White House putting on an academy award style show celebrating the theft of the American tax payer’s money and freedoms -- what a spectacle that was -- even Vice President Joe Biden couldn’t control himself dropping the ‘F’ bomb on national TV.
This was the same reason Dingell asked to be on Frank’s show, to sell a plan they already passed knowing how bad it is and how much the people are against it.

Rates for health care are going to continue to rise despite Obama’s promise that he would save us $2,500.00 a year on our premiums and that all people would be covered and costs would come down.
This bill is not about health care but about control the American people. John Dingell finally let it slip out.
This bill will be challenged in many courts over the next several years. Forcing people pay for a service or product they do not want is unconstitutional. It would be the same as government telling you that you must purchase a GM car and if you don’t, you will pay a fine and/or go to jail.

Massachusetts Model

Massachusetts already tried this universal health care plan and it failed on every count. For a family making $31,213, the cheapest plan costs $9,872 in premiums and out-of-pocket expenses. For those of lower incomes who previously had free premiums; they cannot afford the out-of-pocket co-pays so they do without.

ObamaCare will cost us:
- $569.2 billion in tax increases (income and capital gains)
- $523.5 billion in Medicare cuts (seniors won’t be able to pay for prescriptions)
- $48 billion additional money for Medicaid
- Your doctor will not be able to decide if you need a test, a bureaucrat will such as Ezekiel Emmanuel who believes that doctors “take the Hippocratic oath too seriously” will decide for you.

Life enhancing devices such pace-makers, stints, artificial limbs even tampons are taxed under this plan.

Screening for breast cancer once every 2 years after the age of 50, many women will die by then.

The Democratic slogan “45,000 people die each year because of the lack of health care” was from a study done at Harvard which suggested that a good portion of those dying was due to the lack of adequate care. What they also found that the Democrats did not tell you was that the reason for this was because of the closing of many hospitals in cities like Detroit, New Orleans and others. These hospitals couldn’t afford to treat the patients on what the government paid them for the care of these people (Medicare). They couldn’t turn them away by law so they were forced to close.

This is what happened in Massachusetts and will happen all over the country under this new health care plan, hospitals and doctors will not be able to afford the pittance the government is willing to pay so they will have to close. Many doctors have stated that they will close their practice rather than lie to their patients or be restricted as to what they believe a particular patient needs in the form of tests, procedures or medications.

The Medicare plan we have right now is good for some, but when we add an additional 30 million to the rolls and cut revenues going to Medicare, what do you think the likely outcome will be?

Take a trip to a local VA hospital someday or ask a veteran that has had to use this service and see what their take is on it, that’ll give you an idea of what kind of “health care” you can look forward to.

We The People, Really?

We can all agree that healthcare reform is needed, but what happened Sunday, and in the weeks leading up to it, was not the solution.

Democrat members of Congress sided with Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Barack Obama over the will of the people. Michigan’s own Democrat Congressional delegation—including Gary Peters, Mark Schauer, John Dingell, John Conyers, Dale Kildee, Carolyn Kilpatrick, Sander Levin and even Bart Stupak—gave in to the pressures of back room deals, steals, promises and turned their backs on the Michigan families they represent.

Because of their vote, Michigan families will no longer be free to make personal decisions about their own healthcare. They will be forced to pick from government approved packages that will be over-seen by 17,000 new IRS agents -- packages Congress decided were not good enough for them.

Because of their vote, for the first time in decades, taxpayers will be asked to fund abortions on demand, including late and partial birth abortions – statistics show this will increase the number of babies killed every year by 40,000.

Because of their vote, our children and grandchildren will be on the hook for the massive deficit the Democrats placed upon them.
Because of their vote, people that are in the their 20’s and 30’s that opt out of health insurance because they rarely use it, will be forced to buy it of face stiff fines.
Those of you out there that supported this bill, did you actually know what was in it? Nancy Pelosi didn’t know and she is the Speaker of the House yet she hadn’t read the bill and had no clue what was in it stating publically “We’ll have to pass it to see what’s in it”
The attitude of personal responsibility has been replaced with “I don’t care who pays for it” so long as I get FREE health care.

Free -- Well we’ll see just how free it is when everything we buy has a huge new price tag, when 700,000 more of us are out of work - when banks stop giving interest on savings accounts – and when doctors start leaving their practices and we have to wait for 3-4 months for cancer surgery like they do in Great Brittan and Canada.
